BY SURRENDERING THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE QUR'AAN TO THE SECULAR AUTHORITIES With reckless treachery, the NNB jamiat of Fordsburg (No Name Brand jamiat) deceptively slinking under the name UUCSA (United Ulama Council of South Africa) has been clandestinely engaging the authorities to 'revamp' and secularize the curriculum of the Darul Uloom for the lousy and haraam objective of gaining government recognition for those who qualify as molvis at the Madaaris. We have already informed the Muslim community about this NNB jamiat's treachery in several articles. Had it not been for a concerned Maulana Sahib from within the ranks of the NNB jamiat, the conspiracy would have continued silently. May Allah Ta'ala reward the Maulana Sahib for having alerted us to this treachery in the making. Among the ridiculous requisites of secularizing the Ilm of the Deen to produce zombie, stupid molvis, is for the curriculum to be diffused with United Nations ethos and jahaalat. What relationship is there with Qur'aanic knowledge and the United Nations and satanic secularism? The kufr-thinking of the NNB jamiat molvis is indeed mind boggling. Did they acquire Islamic Knowledge at the Madaaris in India and Pakistan to stab daggers in the heart of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) by subverting the Deen with kufr influence and control? Did they acquire the knowledge of the Kutub of Ahaadith, Qur'aan Tafseer and Fiqh for the despicable satanism of treacherously handing over the Knowledge of the Qur'aan to kuffaar control to gain scrap recognition which is fit for only Jahannam? It is Waajib on the Ulama in general, and on the Managements of the Darul Ulooms to zealously and vigourously guard the independence of the Madaaris and to protect the Shariah – the Qur'aan and Hadith – from the filthy interpolations and treachery of the likes of the NNB jamiat bughaat. They have been engaging clandestinely to surrender Islam to aliens. The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) has gazetted new regulations over the sale of poultry meat, adjusting the maximum brine limit for individually quick frozen (IQF) and fresh chicken portions to 15% and for whole chicken to 10%. Johnston said Sancu (South African National Consumers Union) members believe brining is unnecessary. "Its real purpose is to mislead the consumer into buying what appears to be a cheaper product. Most consumers know how to improve the succulence of meat products easily and cheaply by marinating them. For this reason, Sancu is opposed to all levels of brining." He urged consumers to watch out for similar practices in the red meat industry. "We have found budget 'mince' and 'wors' products where the water content is 30% - correctly labelled, but the printing is so small you can barely read it." Besides the issue of the chickens being haraam carrion, the other damning factor is the wholesale and massive fraud perpetrated by the chicken killing plants. Every chicken is pumped with a large amount of salt water to increase its weight. 30% or more by weight consists of salt water. One third of the billions of rands which the chicken killers net in annually is for salt water pumped into the diseased carrion chickens. Even without the salt water, the chickens are diseased causing havoc to the health of human beings. This villainy is aggravated by the harmful brine (salt water) which the scoundrels pump into the chickens to increase the weight. This massive fraud and damage to health have perturbed even the authorities who have been constrained to introduce legislation to stem this wicked tide. Although the new legislation is insufficient, it is nevertheless, a step in the right direction and it confirms the fraud and villainy of the chicken industry. Whilst intelligent non-Muslims, both in the government and the public at large, are concerned and have actively worked to ban this evil practice, Muslims to whom Allah Ta'ala has conferred the highest status on earth have degenerated to the sub-human, in fact sub-animal level, of de- vouring the rotten, diseased carrion chickens which the Carrion Fraternity such as SANHA, MJC, NIHT and others are halaalizing. Muslims should reflect on their status mentioned by Allah Ta'ala in the Qur'aan Majeed: "Verily We have ennobled the Children of Aadam (i.e. mankind), and We have empowered them in the ocean and on the land, and We have granted them Rizq (food) from Tayyibaat (pure, halaal and wholesome things), and We have elevated them considerably over numerous of Our creation." Friendship in Islam is a sacred pact which will have wonderful consequences in the Aakhirat. True friends will be under the Shade of Allah's Arsh on the Day of Qiyaamah when there will be no other shade. Only a friendship for the Sake of Allah Ta'ala is a true friendship. Explaining the attributes of a friend, the Hadith says: "(A friend is he) whose sight reminds you of Allah; whose talk increases you in the Knowledge (of the Deen), and whose deeds remind you of the Aakhirah." Hadhrat Muaaz Bin Yahya (Rahmatullah alayh) said: "Your brother is he who makes known to you your faults, and your friend is he who warns you of your sins." A friendship struck up for worldly or nafsaani reasons will end in animosity and bitterness. A Concerned Sister writes: "A 'women's boat to Gaza' campaign is being organized. Women from all round the world will be travelling on a boat to Gaza in September. The crew of the ship will be all women. The icon is a woman's face silhouette designed by a Muslim woman. I was in shock when I read the article on Radio Islam's (i.e. Radio Shaitaan's) website. It is absolutely ridiculous and in conflict with Islam For a campaign of this type. Please comment." COMMENT The radio station is the Devil's Radio which promoted the Devil's campaign, and the woman designer of the haraam icon is an agent of Iblees. The term "to Gaza" is a deceptive abbreviation. The full designation for correct depiction of this boat trip is Women's Boat to the Gaza Jahannam. The participants are Jahannamis; the entire voyage is a journey to Hell and the destination is a Jahannam on which the Divine Curse has settled. In all the lands where Muslims are oppressed, persecuted and brutalized, the La'nat of Allah Azza Wa Jal has settled. The oppression and misery are the afflictions of Allah's La'nat on a grossly treacherous people in the vortex of their self-created cauldrons of immorality and transgression. The women on this boat to Hell are shaitaanaat, faasiqaat and kaafiraat. The trip is thus not at all surprising. The only lamentable aspect as far as Muslims are concerned is that some of these denizens of Jahannam are sporting Muslim names. This causes confusion in the ranks of the ignorant and unwary who labour under the impression that the women with Muslim names are in fact Muslims when in reality they are kaafiraat. The campaign of immorality to Jahannam is therefore standard procedure for the kuffaar. There is no need for 'shock'. "Nothing – not an atom, neither anything smaller or bigger than it, in the earth or in the sky remains hidden from your Rabb, but it is (recorded) in a Clear Book." (Qur'aan) Every occurrence regardless how infinitesimal and insignificant it may appear, is the effect of Allah's creation and intervention. Nothing happens in the universe without His Command – good or bad. There are no accidents in Allah's creation. Therefore, nothing should surprise the Mu'min, and nothing should frustrate him. Every misfortune should be confronted with Sabr and trust in Allah Ta'ala. No one can fathom the Wisdom of Allah Ta'ala. Q. Our trading company was insolvent and liquidated. After all the assets were disposed of and the creditors paid, there remains a substantial amount of unpaid debts. According to the law, we are absolved from the debt. What is the Shariah's law in this regard? A. According to the Shariah, a company has no validity although it is a legal entity in terms of kuffaar law. One is never absolved of debt. The outstanding debt has to be compulsorily paid. If not paid, the creditors will claim on the Day of Qiyaamah. Pay the debt in small amounts which are affordable. Even if it takes years to settle the debt, do not overlook this incumbent right to the creditors. Q. Are there any genuinely halaal Steers, KFC, MacDonalds, Burger King, Spur Franchise, etc. restaurants? A. There is not a single halaal Steers, KFC, Macdonalds, Burger King, Spur Franchise, etc. All these carrion outlets are Haraam. Do not destroy your health and do not corrupt your Imaan by devouring the carrion which the halaalizing scoundrels halaalize. Carrion consumption is a sure cause for cancer and other serious diseases. Q. Of the organizations which claim to be 'halaal' authorities, is any one reliable and trustworthy? I have read so much about these bodies which has disgusted me. A. Never trust SANHA, MJC, NIHT, ICSA, etc. These outfits are carrion halaalizers who are in the haraam carrion game for money. They coin tens of millions of rand annually from the halaalizing rackets they are operating in the name of Islam. All of these entities are authorities specializing in making haraam and diseased carrion 'halaal'. These outfits are all agents of Iblees whose primary food according to the Hadith is carrion – meat on which Allah's Name has not been recited. We have an abundance of literature on this subject. See our website. If you wish for hard copies of our publications, do provide your address. Q. Before opening a business, a man made Istikhaarah. However, the business failed. He then cursed and abused Istikhaarah. He used filthy four-letter abuse to describe Istikhaarah. What is his status? A. The man has lost his Imaan with the flagrant statements of kufr. He is no longer a Muslim. If he repents and renews his Imaan, he will return to the fold of Islam. Currently, his wife is in Iddat. The Nikah has lapsed and ended. If the man repents and re-enters the fold of Islam, then if she wishes to be with him, a Nikah has to be performed. Q. Is it permissible to go for a holiday with the family to a non-Muslim holiday resort in the mountains where it is secluded? A. Holiday at a kuffaar resort is an occasion of fitnah. The resort is a mal-oon (accursed) place – a place of zina, fisq and fujoor and the like. You will have to sleep in the same beds in which kuffaar sleep, and generally use the same facilities. There is bound to be violation of purdah. It is not permissible to spend time in such places of fisq and fujoor. Kuffaar kinds of immorality have become the accepted norm to Muslims, hence we no longer even understand the evil of such places. We view the fisq and fujoor with western eyes, hence the evil is not perceived. Q. If the Imaam is in Ruku', should the Masbooq (the latecomer) recite Takbeer and go into Ruku'? A. If the Imaam is not in Qiyaam, but in Ruku', then the Masbooq should recite Takbeer whilst raising his hands, then fold them and after the duration of at least one Subhaanallah in Qiyaam, join the Imaam in Ruku'. If he misses the Imaam in Ruku', he has missed the raka't. If he finds the Imaam in any other position, then too after Takbeer he should still fold the hands and stand in Qiyaam, then join the Imaam. Q. The husband issued one Talaaq Raj'i. If he decides to reconcile with his wife does he have to revoke the Talaaq in her presence? A. Even if he does not revoke the Talaaq in her presence, the raj'at is valid, and so is the Nikah as long as he reconciled within the Iddat period. Q. When does the iddat of Talaaq commence? A. The Iddat begins from the very moment the Talaaq is uttered or written, and it lasts for three full haidh periods. A partial haidh period is not taken into account. For example, if the husband issued Talaaq during the haidh period, then the current haidh period is discounted. Her Iddat will be a full three haidh periods. Q. The deceased had made wasiyyat that a certain property should not be sold. The income should be distributed to his heirs. Is this wasiyyat valid? A. The Wasiyyat of the deceased is not valid in the Shariah. The property belongs to his heirs. The heirs are fully entitled to sell the property and share the money amongst themselves in accordance with the Shariah's Law of Inheritance. Q. I came from Johannesburg to Durban. After 12 days, I decided to stay another week. Since my stay was more than 15 days, was I supposed to have performed Salaat in full? A. Since your niyyat to extend the stay is a further 7 days, you are still a musaafir and have to make Qasar Salaat. Q. At the end of the haidh period, before taking ghusl, the unwanted hairs are removed. An Apa says that first ghusl should be made, then the hairs removed. Is this correct? A. What the Apa said is correct. Hair from any part of the body and also nails may not be removed during the state of janaabat. Therefore, only after having completed the full ghusl should the hairs be removed. Q. Some years ago, I performed Hajj. At the time of Tawaaf Ziyaarat my haidh had just started. Eight years have passed. I am now really concerned. What should I now do? Am I still in Ihraam? A. Your question is ambiguous. There are two scenarios. We shall, Insha-Allah, explain both. Either you had performed Tawaaf Ziyaarat during the state of haidh or you did not perform it, and came away without having performed the Tawaaf. If you had performed Tawaaf Ziyaarat during your haidh, then the penalty is one camel or a bull which has to be slaughtered in the Haram and distributed to the poor. If Tawaaf Ziyaarat was performed, then you are not in Ihraam. You only have to pay the penalty. However, if you had not performed Tawaaf Ziyaarat, then you have no option but to return and perform the Tawaaf. Furthermore, for every sexual misdemeanour in the state of partial Ihraam, the penalty is one dumm (sheep or goat). We presume that you had released yourself from Ihraam by clipping the hair. For each sexual misdeed you had committed the penalty is one sheep/goat to be slaughtered in the Haram. You should estimate the number of times of sexual misconduct you had committed since you had returned after Hajj, then so many sheep penalties will have to be paid. This could be done over a period of time as the funds become available. Someone in Makkah could be deputed to arrange the slaughtering. Q. In a Hadith it is said that a woman should fear her brother-in-law like death. What is the meaning of 'death' in this Hadith? A. The meaning of 'death' in the context of the Hadith is that the woman should fear her brother-in-law just as she fears death. That means, that she must stay far from him. Just as one would not play with fire or any danger, so too should a woman avoid coming even near to her brother-in-law. There is great fitnah in such contact. The purdah for brothers-in-law, male cousins, uncles-in-law and such close relatives is more emphasized. Q. Is tuna halaal for Hanafis? A. Tuna fish is halaal. Q. I live in New Zealand. To become a teacher, one has to do music and drama. Is it permissible to be a teacher? A. It is not permissible to become a teacher in New Zealand. Music and drama are haraam. It is therefore haraam to become a teacher. Q. I am not getting satisfactory answers to my questions from SANHA. I have attached my letter to SANHA. A. Since the carrion chicken industry yields millions of rand annual pocket money for SANHA, you will not receive satisfactory answers from them. The carrion chicken industry is in a massive haraam mess. They are drowning in this mess. It is only genuine fear for Allah Ta'ala that can extricate them from this monstrous haraam mess. As long as this is missing, there is no hope of them emerging from the haraam carrion mess. They will go to their graves with the carrion chicken mess. Q. Is holidaying and exploring permissible in Islam? A. Holidaying and exploring are not permissible. Allah Ta'ala created us for the Aakhirah. He sent us into this dunya to prepare ourselves for Jannat where there will be an eternal life to do never-ending travelling for exploring the wonders of Allah Ta'ala, from planet to planet, heaven to heaven and from unknown realms into unknown realms. This brief life of a few years may not be squandered in futility – on activities which are inimical for Maut, Barzakh, Qiyaamah and our entry into Jannat. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) prohibited touring – the type of touring which Muslims are indulging in – in emulation of the kuffaar. Q. Are ghouls a reality? A. Ghouls are also a creation of Allah Ta'ala. However, there is no certitude that they really do exist as the Jinn whose existence is confirmed by the Qur'aan. Q. Is it permissible for a man to wear any type of jewellery made of white gold? A. It is not permissible for a man to wear any kind of jewellery. Even jewellery from white gold is haraam for men. Only a silver ring, the weight not being more than 5.3 grams is permissible. Q. In Sri Lanka there is a big controversy about dua after the Fardh Salaat. The Imaams in the vast majority of Musjid recite long and loud duas. In some Musjids the dua is short and silent. What is the proper method? A. The only correct method is the Sunnah. The Sunnat method of the Dua after the Fardh Salaat is a silent dua. Everyone should make his own Dua. Those who are making the long, loud dua are following custom – bid'ah custom which has become entrenched, hence they refuse to abandon it. It is Waajib to abandon the bid'ah custom and adopt the Sunnah. If the entire Sri Lanka is embroiled in a bid'ah, it does not follow that the few Muslims who have understood the Sunnah and practising the Sunnah should follow the majority. Q. The Imaam was without wudhu. Only after the muqtadis had dispersed, did he remember. What should be done in this case? A. Each one of the muqtadis must be informed to repeat the Salaat. An announcement in the Musjid should be made or a notice prominently displayed should be placed in the Musjid. Q. A Salafi said that if Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) had to be present today, he would fail a test on Aqeedah. Please comment. A. The salafi who made the vile statement, needs to renew his Imaan. He has acquitted himself like a Shiah hater of the Sahaabah. Q. How many raka'ts are there in Tahajjud Salaat? A. The Sunnat number of Tahajjud Salaat is 8 or 12 raka'ts. Q. You have condemned Shaikh Nuaini. It is said that he had seen Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) in his dream? A. No one's dreams cancel the Shariah. Even if a deceit or a bid'ati or a faasiq is seen descending from the Arsh, then too we shall reject and brand him for what he is. We are under obligation to follow the Shariah. What the deviate sees in his dreams is of no significance to us. Of importance is to see if he is a follower of the Sunnah or a faasiq. Even if the faasiq flies in the air and turns stones into gold, never be impressed. The devil can also accomplish such feats. Q. The jamiatul ulama south Africa has pictures of animate objects on its website. A. The bogus 'jamiat south africa' (the NNB Jamiat of Fordsburg) is a deviate body of dajjaals misleading the ignorant masses along the path of Jahannam. Q. Is it permissible to listen to the recitation of a faasiq qaari who shaves his beard or keeps a tiny beard? A. It is not permissible to listen to the recitation of these faasiq qaaris. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The majority of the munaafiqeen of my Ummah are its qaaris." Q. Someone claims that Sajdah Shukr should be made after every Salaat. Is this correct? A. Ignore the bid'ah which the chap is propagating in the guise of Sajdah Shukr. If you want to express your gratitude to Allah Ta'ala for something, perform two raka'ts Salaat. Q. Darul Ihsan of Durban has issued a pamphlet saying that it is haraam to tie the hair in a bun on top of the head or behind the head. Is their fatwa correct? A The fatwa is correct. The humps of such buns on the head or behind the head are haraam. Q. The toilet in our home faces the Qiblah. We turn ourselves slightly away from the Qiblah. Will this suffice? A. No, it will not suffice. It is haraam to relieve oneself facing the Qiblah or with one's back to the Qiblah. It is incumbent to change the direction of the toilet. The Deen has priority in our lives. Deen is not of secondary importance. Q. A marriage was performed with only one witness. Is the Nikah valid? A. The 'marriage' is not valid. Without two male witnesses the marriage is not valid. They are living in the state of adultery. Q. A local qaari says your criticism of Shaikh Nuaini is unjustified. He is regarded as a role model by some. Please explain. A. The qaari is a faasiq. The reasons for his fisq have been stated. Anyone who takes a faasiq as a role model is under the spell of shaitaan. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The majority of the munaafiqeen (hypocrites) of my Ummah are its qaaris." One should distance oneself from even those qaaris who regard the faasiq Nuaini as a role model. Even if he transforms stones into gold, flies in the air or descends from the Divine Throne, then too it is haraam to listen to his recitation because he is a faasiq, and in flagrant violation of Allah's Shariah. Q. Besides beef and chickens, what is the status of mutton in South Africa? A. Even the mutton is haraam. Buy your own sheep, you and some brother/friend, and keep your halaal mutton in your freezer. In so doing, you will be saved from devouring carrion certified 'halaal'. Sheep/goats are also cruelly electrocuted and the Shariah's system of Thabah is grossly violated. Q. In Mashaaikh-e-Chisht, Shaikh Zakariyya explains the kinds of Tawajjuh and mentions some examples of reformation of people by means of Tawajjuh of the Shaikh. Salafis refute this. They say that Rasulullah's Tawajjuh did not convert Abu Talib and others. How can others then reform people with Tawajjuh? A. Salafis are morons. They deny the validity of karaamat. The Karaamaat of the Auliya are the Haqq. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) had performed thousands of Mu'jizaat. The fact Abu Talib did not embrace Islam is because Allah Ta'ala had decreed kufr for him. No Tawajjuh, no Mu'jizah and no Karaamat can change Allah's Taqdeer. Those who were guided by the Tawajjuh of the Auliya, were such persons for whom Allah Ta'ala had ordained Imaan and khair. Whilst they changed certain people with Tawajjuh, their Tawajjuh could not change thousands of others for whom Hidaayat was not ordained. To deny the karaamaat of the Auliya on the basis that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) did not perform that same miracle, is moronic. Auliya had even flown in the air and transformed stones into gold. This cannot be denied on the basis that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) did not effect such specific miraculous acts. Hadhrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) issued instructions to the Muslim army whilst he was delivering the Jumuah Khutbah, and whilst the army was hundreds of miles from Madinah. Such a feat was not performed by Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). There are many Karaamaat of the Sahaabah which cannot be moronically refuted simply because Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) did not display such specific miraculous deeds. Q. When I requested information regarding stunning of animals from Excellent Meats in Cape Town, they responded as follows: "It's confidential information. For what purpose do you need it?" A. From the extremely ambiguous and cagey response the butchery gave to your letters, it is clear that they have much to hide, hence they say that 'it is confidential'. What is so 'confidential' about the meat/chicken they sell? It is either halaal or haraam? It is the guilty conscience that constrains this type of stupid response to a perfectly legitimate query. Since it is in fact haraam, they have to treat it 'confidential'. The 'authorities' they have referred you to are all carrion halaalizers. We have a deluge of literature written on these carrion halaalizers and their carrion products. All animals – bulls, sheep and chickens halaalized by SANHA, MJC, NIHT, ICSA and any other so-called 'authority' are all stunned in brutal haraam ways. Q. What is the status of the chocolate-coated dates coming from Saudi Arabia? A. Don't consume the chocolate-coated dates regardless if it comes from Saudi Arabia. Halaal and Haraam are insignificant issues with the Saudis and with all Salafis. Eat plain and pure dates. Q. It is really shocking that Ulama such as Mufti Taqi saying that tv and digital pictures are not pictures, hence permissible. Please comment. A. Make dua that Allah Ta'ala saves the Akaabireen and ourselves from the fitnah of the nafs and ther snares of Shaitaan. They all are desensitized and have fallen victim to liberalism and modernism. It is indeed frightful when even senior Ulama regard a major sin to be permissible. Yes, Mufti Taqi believes that television and video pictures are permissible. We have written a refutation of his baseless arguments. If you do not have this booklet, provide your address. He has opened up a wide avenue for the commission of major sins and all the ulama-e-soo' are justifying their sins on the basis of Mufti Taqi's gigantic blunder. Q. I bought a property from a developer. The condition attached to the sale is that all buyers must become members of the Homeowners Association. The directors are mostly Muslims. The chairman too is a Muslim. These Muslim directors have started to charge a penalty called "Late Building Fees" or "Late Completion Fees". What is the Shariah's ruling regarding such penalties? A. Firstly, the condition of becoming a member of the association is baatil. The sale is rendered faasid (corrupt / not permissible) by the imposition of this condition. Secondly the penalties which the Homeowners Association is levying are Haraam riba. Since the members are Muslims, they must take notice of war from Allah Ta'ala and His Rasool for oppressing other Muslims with their riba penalty demands. Q. Is it permissible to marry a girl without the consent of her parents? A. It is not permissible to marry a girl without the consent of her parents. However, if the parents are fussaaq and evil, and they refuse to grant permission even if the boy is a good person, then they may make Nikah even without the parents' permission. Q. A married non-Muslim woman embraced Islam, but not her husband. Soon thereafter a Muslim married her. The husband did not divorce her. What is the position of the Nikah to the Muslim man? A. The non-Muslim woman who accepted Islam was supposed to wait out the Iddat of three Haidh periods. Only thereafter would marriage be permissible. If this was not done, then they should separate and after expiry of the Iddat perform Nikah. Q. Is it a sin to miss out Sunnatul Muakkadah? A. It is a grave sin to miss Sunnatul Muakkadah without valid reason. Q. We are only two persons performing Salaat at our workplace. We perform Jamaat, but without Athaan. Is it permissible for us to omit Athaan? A. If there is no Musjid in the vicinity from where the Athaan could be heard, then it is incumbent for you to recite the Athaan. However, the Salaat even without Athaan is valid. But Athaan should not be abandoned. Q. A concerned parent sent me a picture which he saw on facebook. One of these so-called 'islamic' nursery schools in Lenasia had organized an event. The theme is on religion. Surah Yaaseen and the 99 Names of Allah Ta'ala are placed below the Christmas tree and next to the Hindu and Zulu women. All religions are depicted as equal. Kindly comment on this issue? A. The theme/event is kufr. Those who place Islam on par with other religions lose their Imaan. They become murtad. The Qur'aan Majeed and Allah's glorious Names have been subjected to blasphemy by these murtad organizers of the satanic interfaith program. Placing Surah Yaaseen and Allah's Names below the Christmas tree and next to the other pictures is haraam. In fact putting Allah's Names on display in this manner at the nursery school is haraam. Q. I have a property which brings in rental income. Do I pay Zakaat on the value of the property or on the rental income? A. You do not pay Zakaat on either the value of the house nor on the rent received. You pay Zakaat after every twelve months on all your cash, gold/silver and stock-in -trade. If at the end of your Zakaat year you have cash left of the rent, then you have to pay Zakaat on that amount. If the rent was used up during the course of the year, then there is no Zakaat payable on it. Q. Can a very old woman travel without a mahram? A. Regardless of the woman's age, it is haraam for her to travel without a male mahram. Her mahram must accompany her otherwise it will be haraam for her to travel. Q. In our country (Pakistan) there is a custom of giving gifts to the groom on the occasion of the walimah. It is considered extremely bad if gifts are not given on this occasion. Is there any Islamic significance in this practice? A. The custom of giving gifts on the occasion of the walimah is baseless and not permissible. The money, etc. should be given to the poor. Furthermore, even to the poor, the gifts should be at some other time. New customs should not be added to the walimah. Q. How much of the body should a woman cover when at home and there are no ghair mahrams around? A. Even at home a woman should dress decently when other females are present. In fact, she should cover her hair even if she is alone in the house despite the fact that it is not sinful to expose the hair in the house when there are no ghair mahrams. Islamic culture (the Sunnah) is that she should be dressed decently and respectfully even if those present are only women or her children. Q. In Morocco a second Jamaat is not allowed in the Musjids. Is this valid? A. According to the Maaliki, Hanafi and Shaafi' Math-habs a second Jamaat in the Musjid where there is an appointed Imaam, is not permissible. The practice in Morocco is in accordance with the Maaliki Math-hab. Q. Which place has greater virtues – Makkah or Madinah? Which is the better of the two for residing? A. Both Makkah and Madinah are sacred places. Which is holier, is of insignificance. There are different views. However, it is not advisable for foreigners to take up residence in these sacred cities. It is discouraged. Q. Pamphlets advertising commercial enterprises are placed in the Musjid. Can I remove these pamphlets? A. The Musaajid are being misused and abused. Advertising pamphlets should not be placed in the Musjid. It is the duty of the Imaam and the trustees to ban such pamphlets. Those who are not in charge of the Musjid should not remove the pamphlets because it could lead to arguments and even fighting. Q. I have a large sum of dollars made up of $1, $5 and $10 bills. Someone is willing to exchange these with $100 bills, but he wants a premium. Is it permissible? A. The premium you are charged is haraam. It is riba. Q. A non-Muslim girl embraced Islam. I intend marrying her. Who will represent her? She has no Muslim relatives. A. If the Muslim girl's family is kuffaar, then she does not need anyone's permission to get married. Her own permission is sufficient. Q. I made Sajdah Sahw without making Salaam to the right side. Is my Salaat valid? A. Your Salaat is valid. Q. Does any Math-hab teach two raka'ts Nafl before Maghrib Salaat? A. According to the Shaafi' and Hambali Math-habs, performing two raka'ts before Maghrib Salaat is Sunnat. Q. When taking a ghusl after haidh, women usually first remove the hairs, then take a full ghusl. Is this correct? A. It is not permissible to remove hairs and nails during the state of janaabat. It is necessary to take a complete ghusl. After the ghusl, the hairs and nails should be removed. Q. If one mistakenly recites in the first raka't Surah Quraish and in the second raka't Surah Feel, does Sajdah Sahw become Waajib? If the Imaam makes such an error, should the Musallis remind him by saying 'Subhaanallaah!'? A. The error of inverting the Sunnat sequence of the Surahs in Salaat does not necessitate Sajdah Sahw. The musallis should not say, 'Subhaanallaah!' to remind the Imaam of this type of error. Q. How is Zakaat calculated on gold jewellery? Is the value of the jewellery including the workmanship, considered for Zakaat, or only the weight of the gold? A. If Zakaat of gold is being paid with anything other than gold, then obviously the current value of the gold will be considered, not the workmanship. Workmanship is not Maal-e-Zakaat. The current value of the jewellery, plus the value of the stones in it, will be Zakaatable if the jewellery is stock-in-trade. Q. I made Istikhaarah for several days regarding a marriage proposal, but I did not get any clear sign in a dream. What should I do? A. Generally there is no clarity in our dreams due to the deluge of evil in our hearts and brains. There is evil all around us – television, video, haraam facebook, not exercising proper purdah, gheebat, etc., etc. Sin and futility block the spiritual channels, hence the dreams are unclear and no real direction is acquired from Istikhaarah. Recite Istighfaar in abundance and make dua so that the right decision is made. Q. Can we place kitaabs on our lap? And Arabic dictionaries? A. Placing Kitaabs on one's lap is disrespectful. The income derived selling filth is haraam. Q. Can we recite Surah Yaaseen at the Qabr of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam)? A. Surah Yaaseen may be recited anywhere at any Qabr, including the Mubaarak Qabr of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Q. A person does not have the Zakaat Nisaab. The girl should not accept the roses. Q. An elder who performs Namaaz sitting on a chair sit in the first saff right behind the Imaam. A trustee asked him to place his chair towards the end of the Saff. Is the trustee in order? A. The trustee is correct. The elder on the chair should sit towards the end of the saff, not in the middle of the saff. Q. Are Barelwis Muslims? Is Salaat valid behind a Barelwi? A. Barelwis are people of Bid'ah. They worship the graves of saints and practise many other customs of bid'ah. Although Salaat behind a Barelwi is valid, one should endeavour to perform Jamaat Salaat behind an Imaam who is not a Bid'ati. Q. I made a promise to sell my property to a friend for R1 million after two months. After two months I received a substantially higher offer of R1.9 million. Can I accept this latest offer? There was no written contract. Only a verbal promise was made. A. A verbal agreement is just as valid as a written agreement in terms of the Shariah. However, in the case mentioned you may sell your property for R1,900,000 to the other person. The agreement to sell the land in January was a promise. It was not a concluded transaction. Now that you have received a higher offer, you are entitled to sell it to the highest bidder. Q. Is the Kipi investment scheme permissible? A. The 'investment' scheme is a haraam fraudulent practice. Never become soiled in this riba and maisar (gambling) kuffaar scheme. Q. Some old people over the age of 60 make fools of themselves by imitating young men in dress. Does the Hadith say anything about such old people? A. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The best of your youth are those who emulate old men, and the worst of your old men are those who emulate your youth." When an old man endeavours to be 'young', it indicates two things: (1) Senility in his brains, and (2) Drift away from the Rahmat of Allah Ta'ala. May Allah Ta'ala save us from the evil our nafs and the snares of shaitaan. Q. How is it to do physical training after Maghrib in a park using the equipment which is provided there? A. The time between Maghrib and Isha' is a time when shayaateen and evil forces preponderate, hence Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) commanded that even domesticated animals should not be left to wander outside after Maghrib. Can she read the translations of the Surah in her Salaat? A. Reading the translations will invalidate her Salaat. In every post ure s h e should reci t e "Subhaanallaah" a few times – 3 or 5 or 7 times. In addition to the Takbirs, the Tasbeeh should be recited, not the translations. She has to make an earnest attempt to memorize the essentials of Salaat. Q. Is it permissible to enter into a partnership business with non -Muslims? A. It is Makrooh Tahrimi and not permissible to enter into any kind of partnership with non-Muslims. Q. After the Fardh of Jumuah, should the four Sunnatul Muakkadah be performed with one or two Salaams? A. After the Jumuah Fardh, there are first four raka'ts Sunnatul Muakkadah with one Salaam. Then two raka'ts Sunnatul Muakkadah separately. The four raka'ts should be performed in a single batch. This is the practice of the Ahnaaf. Q. Is it permissible to shake hands before Salaat? A. Where it is customary to shake hands before Salaat, it will be bid'ah. Q. If someone offers his hand for shaking on Eid Day for example, what should one do? Some Ulama say that while we should not initiate hand-shaking on Eid, if someone offers his hand, we should not rebuff him. A. It will be permissible, in fact necessary, to politely 'rebuff' shaking hands where it is bid'ah. If one shakes hands because of one's own weakness, it will not be permissible to justify the wrong act with fanciful interpretations. However, if the person is a musaafir or one whom you have not met for a long time, then it will be permissible to shake hands since in this instance it will not be fulfilling a customary bid'ah practice. Q. When discussing marital problems with another man, is it permissible for the wife to be present? The man is not an Aalim. A. It is not permissible for the wife to be in the presence of another man when discussing her marital problems, etc. even if the man is an Aalim, and even if her husband is present. It is worse if he is a layman. In cases that the Shariah permits the presence of the woman, it is Waajib to erect a screen to separate the female from the sight of the males. Q. A ladies group called 'salsabeel ladies group' arranges tea parties to raise funds for the Syrian refugees and for other charitable projects. Should we contribute to women's groups? A. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Never will prosper people who assign their affairs to a woman." Women's groups are Islamically speaking lewd. They lack haya. It is not permissible to contribute funds or to support these haraam merrymaking groups of shameless females who are out on the streets competing with males. Q. What is the status of a Muslim woman who married a convert then participated in the pagan rituals and ceremonies of her husband's people? A. She has become a murtaddah. Her Imaan is effaced. Q. In Pakistan the government has authorized setting up a plant to recycle old and torn copies of the Qur'aan. The resultant pulp will be used to make cardboard. Is this permissible? A. It is haraam. It is sacrilege. When a kaafir disrespects and insults a copy of the Qur'aan, a futile hue and cry is created. But when Muslims themselves dishonour and insult the Qur'aan, then it becomes acceptable. Pakistan is an impure state. It is Napakistan, hence the commission of such a dastardly act of sacrilege. Torn and unusable copies of the Qur'aan Majeed have to be respectfully folded in cloth and buried. There is no shortage of space in Pakistan to bury the Qur'aans. Q. I have some interest accumulated on my account in the bank. Can I give the interest amount from cash I have to the poor, and contra the cash given with the interest in the bank? A. It will not be permissible to contra the interest with cash on hand. The interest will still remain in the bank. You have to withdraw the interest from the bank, making the intention of interest withdrawal at the time when you write the cheque or make the withdrawal. The actual interest thus withdrawn should be disposed of. Q. All the toilets at the holiday house are facing the Qiblah. What should one do? A. It is not permissible to go to such a haraam holiday house. Q. Should one reply to the recorded Athaan played over the radio? A. It is not permissible to reply. Q. When the Athaan is heard on a clock should we reply and recite the Athaan Dua at the end? A. It is not permissible to reply to the Athaan on a clock nor to recite the Masnoon Dua. Q. Please view the fatwa on saying Jumuah Mubaarak. Is the Mufti correct? A. (In a lengthy fatwa of a couple of pages a junior mufti has attempted to validate the bid'ah of saying 'jumuah mubaarak') The Mufti appears to be an amateur, hence he drifts off at a wide tangent writing such a lengthy article for a simple issue. No one criticizes congratulating a Muslim. What is reprehensible is to introduce a custom and elevate it to the status of near-wujoob (compulsion) and to supersede the Masnoon practice. Saying 'Jumuah Mubaarak' never was the practice of the Sahaabah, yet Jumuah existed among them. Their greeting was restricted to the Masnoon Salaam. If congratulating everyone every Jumuah had any merit, the Sahaabah would have practised it. There is no need to surpass the Sahaabah in displaying 'holiness'. The Sunnah is sufficient for us. This congratulatory phrase in some places supersedes even the Salaam. The phrase is uttered first. The Mufti has made a mountain out of an anthill in his struggle to validate what has become bid'ah in some quarters. On page 2 of The Majlis, Vol.23 No.7, in the first column, in the last question appears the following answer: Your husband's half of the house and all his other assets will be distributed as follows: Wife one eighth (12.5%). The second wife has been erroneously omitted from the answer. The answer should read: Your husband's half of the house and all his other assets will be distributed as follows: The two wives will equally share one eighth (12.5%)... Q. What does the Shariah say regarding Iftaar with enemies of islam such as going to a political venue or an expensive hall to eat iftaar with David Cameron and Barack Obama? Some musaajid even allow these evil politicians and their helpers from the police and army to eat with them enjoying themselves. Am I correct in saying that such 'iftaars' are not genuine Islamic Iftaar. Rather, these functions are government-sponsored to peddle their agenda? Muslims humiliate themselves by flattering these cruel and evil politicians. A. Yes, you are correct. They are bootlickers of the brutal oppressors. The merrymaking functions with the kuffaar rulers and politicians cannot be termed Iftaar nor is the 'fasting' of these vile bootlickers a valid Saum for acceptance by Allah Ta'ala. They 'fast' like dogs – dogs chained up the entire day and denied food and water. Regarding the 'fasting' of bootlickers who collude with and flatter tyrants and murderers of Muslims, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Many are the 'fasting' ones for whom there is nothing in their 'fast' except hunger." The function is accursed and so are the participants. It is a mockery and travesty to dub such feasts of the oppressors as 'Iftaar'. Associating in this manner with tyrants and butchers is haraam. "No level of lead is safe for children. Lead exposure has been a significant public health issue for decades. Lead is linked to a variety of neurological impairments, including learning disabilities, seizures, and a lower IQ. Developing fetuses and children are especially vulnerable to lead exposure because their brains are in critical growth and development stages. "As underscored by the Flint disaster, humans have contaminated our environment with lead, and now we must do everything in our power to protect ourselves and our children, who are the most vulnerable of us, from every possible exposure," said Sean Palfrey, MD, a pediatrician and Professor of Pediatrics and Public Health at Boston University School of Medicine. "Young children and pregnant women especially should avoid exposure to lead." Cadmium can cause damage to the kidney, liver, and bones, while also impairing neurobehavioral development. Lead and cadmium are both listed under the act as reproductive toxins. California law ensures consumers receive warnings before they are harmed. To protect consumers, companies should take immediate steps to remove these toxic heavy metals from their products or, at a minimum, to warn according to Proposition 65. If the heavy metals are not removed, people need to be informed so they can protect themselves and their families. A California nonprofit is warning consumers that the Cadbury Creme Egg in their basket this Easter may be closer to a Cadmium Creme Egg. As You Sow tested 50 types of chocolates and found illegal levels of cadmium and/or lead in 70% of them, CBS San Francisco reports. A press release claims dangerous amounts of the heavy metals were found in products from Hershey's, Whole Foods, Mars, Trader Joe's, See's, Ghirardelli, and more. (The full list is here, and yes, Cadbury's mini eggs and one other Cadbury product are on it.) "We assumed that companies were testing their products before they put them on the market, but they're not," As You Sow's CEO tells CBS. It's not a new allegation for the health organization, which made similar claims in July and again in February, the Washington Post reports. ........... An independent 2005 study did find chocolate contained some of the highest concentrations of lead in food. And As You Sow says any amount of heavy metals in chocolate is concerning as Americans eat so much of it—approximately 9.5 pounds per year." A lady suffering some evil affliction acts strangely and abnormally. She performs weird and even bizarre acts. The family wrote to us seeking advice from us. We proffered the following advice: At the outset I should clarify that I am not an aamil. Only an aamil can diagnose whether a person is affected by sihr or any evil shaitaani influence. There are different causes of the condition with which your sister is afflicted. It could be simply the sickness known as bipolar. It could be imagination which has overwhelmed her. Understand well that imagination is so powerful in some people that it actually causes physical effects. It can cause sickness and also cure sickness. Hadhrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (Rahmatullah alayh) narrated that one person was overwhelmed with the imagination that a lion was scratching on his back. When his back was examined, the actual claw marks of a lion were visible between his shoulders. Another person imagined that his body was made of glass. He would scream if anyone would come near to him. He remained aloof and far from people because he imagined that he would break and die if people touched him. Hadhrat Maulana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi (Rahmatullah alayh) narrated this incident. Or the affliction could be sihr. Allah knows best. Only if an expert aamil is found, would it be possible to know if sihr is plaguing your sister. But all the aamils prowling around nowadays are quacks, cranks and frauds fleecing people of their money. It is quite possible that your sister is paranoid with some mental condition, and this appears to be the greater probability. There is nothing we can advise other than urging your sister and the family members to recite Surah Faatihah, Aayatul Kursi, the last Ruku' of Surah Baqarah and the three Qul Surahs daily and blow on her and make dua. Also recite and blow on the water and food she consumes. In the final analysis, whatever the cause may be, it is the decree of Allah Ta'ala. Only He can remove the affliction. Therefore, place reliance on Dua and be constant in the recitation and dua. A Brother writes: "This poster and pamphlet was posted on the Masjid wall and given placed on top of the shoe racks. What sticks out is: 1) "Host a sports day, music or cultural event with the theme 'Israeli apartheid." This was placed in the Masjid. Since when do Muslims host music events? 2) "Take a photo holding a page that says "I support Israeli apartheid week." The Musjid premises is used to promote photography. 3) "Protest at a store that stocks Israeli products such as Woolworths or uses G4S security." Many Muslims participated in this demonstration at Woolworths making fools of themselves dancing like apes and monkeys and guess what?? Some of these Muslims went back to purchase goods and clothing at Woolworths) 4) "Arrange a talk at your church, Mosque, synagogue temple or place of worship on Palestine and Israeli apartheid." This will go on and on as did Yaser Arafat's Camp David's meetings and there will be no end in sight until the Muslims follow the Qur'an and Sunnah. How many Muslims wear Jewish name brand clothing? And shoes? We are hot air balloons!" (End of the brother's letter) COMMENT Muslims have become baboons in the science of aping and emulating the kuffaar. The Musaajid also have now become venues for propagating kufr, baatil and shaitaaniyat. All the listed activities are haraam stunts forged for monetary gains. Muslims are made baboons and they submit wholeheartedly to whatever rubbish is offered to them. This 'Israeli' event is nothing but a haraam, money-making stunt. The trustees of the Musjid should hang their heads in shame and resign for permitting the Musjid premises to be utilized for haraam advertising. And advertising a haraam event. About the Musaajid of later days, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The Musaajid will be adorned structures, but bereft of hidaayat." Allaamah Abdul Wahhaab Sha'raani (Rahmatullah alayh), the illustrious Shaafi' authority of the 9th Hijri century states in his Kitaab,Lawaaqihul Anwaaril Qudsiyyah fi Bayaanil Uhoodil Muhammadiyyah: A pledge has been taken from us by Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) that we shall order our womenfolk to perform their Salaat in their homes, and that we shall urge them to make incumbent on themselves (to remain within) their homes, and that we shall explain to them the goodness and virtues in this so that they do not (obstinately) argue to emerge to listen to the lectures of a strange man (ajnabi/ghair mahram). We shall be questioned (by Allah Ta'ala) particularly regarding our families. However, there is some latitude (for emergence) if the woman is very old or so ugly that no one desires looking at her. (However, in this era of danger, in- tense immorality and evil, even old smelly hags should not emerge from their homes unnecessarily – The Majlis) When there is a combination of virtues and evils, then (according to the principles of the Shariah) abstention from evils has precedence over practising virtue. If one carefully reflects on the (immoral) calamities perpetrated by women when they emerge from their homes to listen to lectures, then a man (of honour) will not allow his wife to go to such gatherings. Jahl (ignorance) has blinded the women of this age. (Allaamah Sha'raani is referring to his age, i.e. the 9th century. What is the verdict of Imaani intelligence regarding the women of the current immoral age? – The Majlis) Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "A woman is closest to the Pleasure of Allah when she is in the innermost part of her home." "A woman does not worship her Rabb so perfectly as she worships Him in her home." Q. Some Ahbash members tried to convince me that those Sahaabah who fought against Hadhrat Ali (Radhiallahu anhu) did a sinful act. I showed them quotes of classical scholars who said that Mu'awiya's (Radhiallahu 'anhu) act against Ali (Radhiallahu 'anhu) was ijtihaadi, and one should be silent regarding the differences of the Sahaabah. They answered that non-prophet scholars can also make mistakes and that the act of Mu'awiya (Radhiallahu 'anhu) was not ijtihadi. Their basic argument is that according to usul if there is a nass (explicit Qur'aanic aayat/Hadith) then no ijtihad is possible and they quote the ayat which means: "O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you ("Ulil Amri Minkum")..." The Ahbash say because Ali (Radhiallahu 'anhu) was from the "Ulul Amri Min-kum", and it is fardh to obey the "ulil amir min-kum", that it can never be just a mistake in ijtihad and has to be a sin according to the ayat. I couldn't refute their view on Mu'awiya (Radi Allaahu anhu) because of the ayat. How should we understand this ayat and how can one answer the Ahbash? A. You could not refute the miscreants because you lack knowledge. When you lack knowledge, then do not become embroiled in argument and debate. Lack of knowledge during a debate creates doubts and even jars one's weak Imaan. The Ahbash are stupid, hence they produced a drivel argument. Who was correct or who had erred is not the issue in the context of our answer to you. The issue is that Hadhrat Muaawiyah (Radhiyallahu anhu) was a senior Sahaabi, and a Scribe of Wahi, and morons should not wag their tongues against any Sahaabi even a junior one. It is sheer ignorance to compromise one's Aakhirah for the sake of something which at the minimum is futility, and it could be much worse. It could be gross disrespect for Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) because he has warned the Ummah not to wag their tongues like dogs against his Sahaabah. "All my Sahaabah are like the Stars (of Hidaayat).", said Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). What benefit will you and the Ahbash derive by sitting in judgment over Hadhrat Muaawiyah (Radhiyallahu anhu). Do you and the Ahbash have the authority to issue judgments against the Sahaabah? Those who categorically accuse this senior Sahaabi of sin – and we are not saying that the Sahaabah were Ma'soom -- themselves reek of sin and wallow in jahaalat. They display Shiah inclinations. The morons did not even understand the meaning of Ijtihaad. An Ijtihaadi error – a genuine intellectual error -- is quite possible in the interpretation of Nass. A Mujtahid can err in his interpretation of Nass. There are numerous Nusoos which are differently interpreted by the Aimmah-e-Mujtahideen. If the Ulul Amr deviate from Siraatul Mustaqeem, there will be grounds for valid conflict, and such conflict will not necessarily be in rejection of the Nass- the Qur'aanic aayat which the Ahbash cite. It could be an error in understanding which is termed an Ijtihaadi error or a genine misunderstanding. This was precisely the case when some Aimmah Mujtahideen sided with Banu Abbaas against Bani Ummayyah who were the Ulul Amr of the time. Your question is futile, spiritually harmful and of no practical and no intellectual benefit. On the contrary, one could fall into grave error by probing issues about which Allah Ta'ala will not question us. When Allah Ta'ala decides the dispute between Hadhrat Ali (Radhiyallahu anhu) and Hadhrat Muaawiyah (Radhiyallahu anhu) on the Day of Qiyaamah, neither will you, the Ahbash or us be called to testify in the Divine Court. But if any disrespect is displayed to any Sahaabi, the chances of being hauled into the Divine Court are real and fearful. Allaamah Abdul Wahhaab Sha'raani (Rahmatullah alayh) reminding us of the Pledge of Sha'baan, says: A pledge has been taken from us by Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) that we shall stand in Salaat during the 15th Night of Sha'baan and fast on its day (i.e. 15th), and that we shall engender readiness for this occasion by means of hunger, less speech and with silence. The one who on this Night eats to satiation (full stomach), indulges in nonsensical talk and obliviousness of Allah Ta'ala will not experience the blessings of this Night even if he stays awake the entire night. He will be like a stone which perceives nothing. Few are the people even among the Ulama and Shaikhs who fulfil this pledge. You will see the 15th Night of Sha'baan descending on them whilst they harbour malice for their brothers and they are regardless of the blessings of this Night which they lose. Allaamah Abdul Wahhaab Sha'raani (Rahmatullah alayh), the famous Aalim, Zaahid, Sufi and Faqeeh of the Shaafi' Math-hab of the tenth century said: A pledge has been taken from us by Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) that we shall explain the virtues of the Five Salaat to the peasants, the masses and the ignoramuses, and that we shall emphasize (the importance of these Salaat) as Allah and His Rasool have stressed. However, nowadays (i.e. in the tenth century Hijri), most of the Fuqara (this refers to the Shaikhs of Tareeqat) and the Searchers of Knowledge (i.e. the Ulama) have become oblivious of this (Command pertaining to instructing others with Salaat). You will see them (the Ulama and the Shaikhs) associating with those among their families, servants and others who neglect Salaat. They eat together with them (they attend their functions). They laugh (and make merry) with them. They employ such persons in their businesses, etc. But they do not advise them at all regarding the evils and sin of neglecting Salaat nor explain to them the rewards of Salaat. This is what destroys the Deen. O my Brother! Explain to every jaahil (the consequences) of his abandonment of the compulsory injunctions of the Deen otherwise you will be the first to kindle for them the Fire (of Jahannam) as it has been narrated in the Saheeh Hadith. Thus you are among those who have acquired knowledge but do not practise accordingly." (End of Allaamah Sha'raani's Naseehat) Allah Ta'ala warns in the Qur'aan Majeed: "Beware of such a punishment which will overtake not only the transgressors among you." Those who abandon Amr Bil Ma'roof Nahyi Anil Munkar will be apprehended by Allah's Athaab just as it will descend on the transgressors. This is the general condition of the Ulama and the Shaikhs of this age. It is not permissible to mingle, associate and make merry with the flagrant transgressors of the Shariah. YOUR FATHER RASULULLAH (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The pleasure of Allah is in the pleasure of your father." "Your father is the centre portal of (your) Jannat. Now if you wish destroy it or preserve it." "Of the noblest of good deeds is to be kind to the relatives of your father's friends after his demise." "Three duas are maqbool (readily accepted). In this there is no doubt. The Dua of the father; the Dua of the musaafir (traveller) and the Dua of the mazloom (oppressed)." These Ahaadith also apply to the mother. Allaamah Abdul Wahhaab Sha'raani (Rahmatullah alayh) said: "I have heard my Sayyid, Muhammad Bin Anaan (Rahmatullah alayh) saying: 'It is incumbent for the one who has severed family ties to hasten to join the ties before the entry of the 15th Night of Sha'baan. Frequently it is difficult to make such amends on this Night. Likewise is it incumbent on the one who has been disobedient to parents to make haste in making amends (by seeking forgiveness from his parents and showing kindness to them)........ Whilst Taubah for these acts of transgression is Waajib at all times, the emphasis is greater on the 15th Night of Sha'baan just as the emphasis to abstain from gheebat in Ramadhaan is greater although abstention from back-biting is imperative at all times throughout the year. "For the Mu'min, the beggar standing at his door is a gift from Allah." (Rasulullah - Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) If the beggar is a drug addict, give him food instead of money. If he / she is a genuine beggar, attend to his / her need. Beware of rebuffing the beggar. Q. The following message is circulating on social media: MOST MUSLIMS MUST have heard the name of the illustrious Saint, Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Mubaarak (rahmatullah alayh). His father, Mubaarak, was the slave of the Qaadhi of the City of Ray. The piety of his slave had made an indelible impression on the Qaadhi who was a very wealthy and prominent member of the community. Inspite of high-ranking and elite members of the community proposing marriage for his daughter, the Qaadhi married his daughter to his slave, Mubaarak. The Qaadhi Saheb too was a pious man, hence he made the decision to have his daughter married to his slave. Taqwa was the criterion for his decision. After the bride was delivered to her husband Mubaarak, the now freed slave, he did not consummate the marriage for forty days. Both he and his wife remained in Ibaadat for this period. Meanwhile Mubaarak ensured that he fed his wife with halaal tayyib food for forty days. After three days had passed without consummation, his wife complained to her husband. Mubaarak replied: "Undoubtedly, your father is a pious man. However, he is a Qaadhi. I have doubts on the absolute purity of his wealth and what he had fed you. I desire that before consummation of the marriage, any mushtabah food which you may have consumed at your father's home be worked out of your system so that Allah Ta'ala blesses us with pious offspring. When the pious lady heard this explanation she understood, was overjoyed and she joined her husband in the 40 day I'tikaaf. Thereafter the illustrious Abdullah Ibn Mubaarak, the Imaam of the Ummah of the time was conceived. This is the effect of halaal tayyib food. It is precisely for this reason that Allah Ta'ala emphasizes to His Ambiya the importance of consuming halaal tayyib food. In such food there is Noor which brightens the Rooh of the Mu'min. On the other hand, in haraam and mushtabah food there is nothing but zulmat (spiritual darkness) which utterly ruins the spiritual fibre of the Mu'min. Taufeeq for A'maal-e-Saalihah is negated despite the realization of the importance of such deeds and despite the intellectual perception of the necessity of righteous deeds. But, the weakened Imaan tarnished and damaged by haraam and mushtabah food cannot generate sufficient energy to fight and thwart the commands of the nafs to be spiritually lethargic and perpetually incline towards evil. Muslims should realize that consumption of haraam and mushtabah is not a trivial issue. It is a fatal poison for Imaan. THE SALAFI GROUP OF BENONI, i.e. MASOOD, MUAZ, MUHAMMAD MUNEEB- Beware! They are slowly misleading the Muslim community of Benoni acting as Hanafis. They are in fact fussaaq. Miftahul Khair, the Salafi school in Benoni together with the discrete dawah at the Actonville, Lakefield and Primrose communities. Please be aware of such so -called 'ulama' posing to be on the straight path as they will only mislead you." (End of message) Please comment. A. We are not aware of the Muhammad and Muneeb characters. But Mas'ood and Muaaz are Salafis masquerading as Hanafis. They operate cunningly and subtly as Hanafis. Their school is a base for Salafi'ism. Their associates are Salafis, modernists and fussaaq. People should indeed beware of them. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) used to supplicate (make dua): "O Allah! I seek Your protection from a nafs that remains unsatisfied and from knowledge without benefit." Imaam Bukhaari and Imaam Muslim narrated that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "On the Day of Qiyaamah, a man will be brought forward and flung into the Fire. His intestines will be extravasated, then he will circumambulate it (i.e. make tawaaf of his intestines), just as a donkey circumambulates the millstone. The inmates of the Fire will (in shocking surprise) assemble by him, and say: 'O man! What has happened to you?' Did you not order us (on earth) to do good and abstain from evil?' He will respond: 'I used to order you with goodness whilst I did not approach it, and I used to forbid you from evil, but committed it." Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "All knowledge is a calamity on the man of knowledge except the one who practically implements it." The Ulama should do some serious soul searching and reflect on their condition and engrossment in the dunya. They should endeavour to fathom the motives for their projects and programs of the Deen. While the rank of the Ulama is lofty, the dregs of humiliation and suffering for treacherous ulama – for the ulama-e-soo' is too ghastly to contemplate. Q. When a husband indulges in pornography does it represent a lower love for his wife or just an addiction? What leads to pornography? When a man looks at a woman, is it his level of Imaan that makes him not have sexual thoughts or is it that men can't control the sexual eye that's why they have to lower their gaze? Does a wife play a role in the husband watching pornography? A. A man who indulges in pornography is gripped in the tentacles of shaitaan. His heart and brains are deranged. His filthy act has no relationship with love or less love for his wife. It is plain shaitaaniyat and sub-bestiality. When a person lacks fear for Allah Ta'ala – when his Imaan is dead – then he behaves worse that the lower animals. He debases his intelligence and his Imaan with the filth he takes into his eyes and heart. He then becomes a sexual pervert on whom descend the Divine Curses. Never be fooled by the deceptive arguments of men who look intentionally at women and claim that they are not sexually affected/ aroused. Those who make such claims are devils. They lie and deceive to cover up their immoral villainy. There is no such thing that a man will not have sexual thoughts when he deliberately stares at women. In fact, even if he mistakenly looks at women his nafs will have the better of him if he is not a man of strong Imaan in whom the fear of Allah Ta'ala dominates. But one who intentionally looks is bereft of fear for Allah Ta'ala. The argument that they can't control their eyes is another shaitaani figment and self-deception. They are like atheists who do not believe in Allah Ta'ala, hence they speak such nonsense. Atheists are bereft of Khauf for Allah Ta'ala. If there was any validity in their bunkum argument, Allah Ta'ala would not have made it compulsory on men not to look if it was impossible. It is plain nafsaaniyat and shaitaaniyat to refrain from controlling the eyes. Such control is a simple matter. The eyes only have to be turned away, and for this muscles are not needed. Only a little fear for Allah Ta'ala will suffice. No, a wife does not play any role whatsoever in the shaitaani husband's indulgence in pornography. Even if a wife is like a one ton bull and looks like a hag and a witch, then too the man has absolutely no valid reason for viewing the worst of filth. It is plain shaitaaniyat and nothing else. Q. Please comment on chocolates containing lead / cadmium. The article I am sending to you says that chocolates contain lead and this is dangerous for the health. What is the Shariah's ruling? A. We have warned Muslims for years to abstain from all chocolates and sweets. Besides the dangerous ingredient of lead/ cadmium, chocolates and sweets contain a deluge of other poisonous chemicals. Just reflect on this list of poisons which lace a product called "peanut Chews': Peanuts, Sugar, Corn Syrup, Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil, Nonfat Dry Milk, Cocoa Powder, Molasses, Glycerine, Dextrose, Salt, Soy Lecithin (an emulsifier), Vanillin (an artificial flavor), TBHQ (a preservative), Citric Acid. Gluten. All of these commercially processed chocolates, sweets and other foods contain a deluge of chemical substances or poisons. The incurable diseases which have overwhelmed mankind in recent years are no wonder. All of these diseases are the logical consequences of decades of poison consumption. The argument of the manufacturers that lead / cadmium occurs naturally in cocoa and other foods, is devoid of substance. What occurs naturally in a food is Allah's creation. He knows what is good and harmful for us. The danger of lead/ cadmium is when it is used artificially, when it is added as an ingredient to food. Chocolates and sweets are not permissible. ONCE HADHRAT ISAA (alayhis salaam) together with his Hawariyyeen (Companions) passed by a village. Everything was in ruins and desolate. Human skeletons were lying all over the show. Hadhrat Isaa (alayhis salaam) said to the Hawariyyeen that these people were destroyed by the Wrath of Allah Ta'ala. The Companions wished to know more of the condition of the destroyed people. Hadhrat Isaa (alayhis salaam) made dua to Allah Ta'ala. He was instructed to call the skeletons during the night time. During the night, Hadhrat Isaa (alayhis salaam) mounted a small hill and called out: "O people of the village!" Someone from the village responded: "What is your command, O Roohullaah!" Nabi Isaa: What is the state of your people? Skeleton: One night we were sleeping well. Suddenly in the morning we were dumped into Jahannum. Nabi Isaa: What is the reason? Skeleton: We were engrossed in the love of the world and followed the transgressors. Nabi Isaa: To what extent did you love the world? Skeleton: As much as a baby loves its mother. When the mother appears, the baby becomes happy and when the mother disappears the baby grieves and cries. Nabi Isaa: Why do your companions not speak? Skeleton: There are reins of fire in their mouths and the Angels are pulling at these reins. These Angels are of foul temper. Nabi Isaa: How do you then speak: Skeleton: I was not one of them. But, since I associated with them the punishment overtook me too. Now I have been hung up on the brink of Jahannum. I do not know if I will be saved or f l u n g i n t o t h e Fire." (Nazhatul Basaateen) Shiqaaq in the context of marriage means discord and dissension between husband and wife. Faskh means annulment of the Nikah. Valid grounds for annulling a Nikah are the husband's refusal or inability to provide his wife with maintenance and a separate home where she could enjoy privacy and control without the intrusion of her in-laws. Impotency and insanity are also a valid ground for Faskh. The grounds of maintenance and separate home have been incorporated by the Hanafi Math-hab from the Maaliki Math-hab due to the dire need (Dhuroorat) of this era. In similar vein have we incorporated from the Maaliki Math-hab, the ground of Shiqaaq for granting Faskh. In this age, the element of Shiqaaq is more prevalent than the elements of Adm-e-Nafqah and Maskan (i.e. not providing expenses and home). Furthermore, many men of this age are acting maliciously by withholding Talaaq to punish their wives despite the irretrievable breakdown of the marriage. Husbands take second wives, which is perfectly lawful, but dump their first wives. Some continue providing maintenance, but their is no marital life. Mental and physical abuse and persecution are perpetrated. The life of the woman is made miserable. The husband continues to keep her in suspension to punish her. The solution for such malicious action of the husband is for the wife to apply for annulment on the grounds of Shiqaaq. FARDH HAJJ Q. I performed Hajj together with my parents. My father paid for all the expenses. Hajj was not Fardh on me. I was baaligh at the time of the Hajj. Now, after some years, I have sufficient wealth for performing Hajj. Was my Fardh Hajj discharged or is Hajj still Fardh on me? A. If you had made niyyat (intention) of Fardh Hajj or if you had no niyyat, then your Fardh Hajj has been fulfilled. As long as your intention was not Nafl Hajj, your Fardh is discharged. If a person on whom Hajj is not Fardh is sponsored by someone, then he/she should make the intention of Fardh. In so doing, the Fardh Hajj will be discharged. Allah Ta'ala has designed and created the human being. He knows what is best for man's physical and spiritual well-being. Whatever Allah Ta'ala has made haraam for us is detrimental both physically and spiritually. The consequences of haraam acts are not restricted to the Aakhirat. While the actual and enduring punishment for haraam is in the Hereafter in Jahannam, the consequences of haraam are meted out also here on earth. Every haraam act regardless of how 'insignificant' it may appear, has a detrimental consequence physically and materially which besets the perpetrator here on earth. If the eyes are misused for haraam, for staring at ghair mahram females, for example, then in addition to the sin which will be punishable in the Aakhirat, the worldly punishment and harms are such as weakening of vision, deprivation of blessings (barakaat), marital problems, others staring at the wife or daughters of the perpetrator, reduction in Rizq, etc. Thus, the consequences of haraam with which the perpetrators are afflicted here on earth are sickness, incurable sicknesses, deprivation of blessings in Rizq and in the home, marital problems, accidents, fear, etc. Therefore, do not be under false illusions when you view filth, pornography, etc. on your smart phone and television nor be under any misapprehension regarding the effects of staring at women or of making gheebat or soiling your tongue with filthy abusive words, or of the effects of jealousy, malice, greed, etc., etc. You will pay for such evils in this dunya and in the Aakhirat. In a Hadith Qudsi, Allah Ta'ala says: "I am by the one whose heart is broken." Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Verily, Allah is with every grieving (sad) heart." Hadhrat Fudhail Bin Iyaadh (Rahmatullah alayh) said: "When Allah loves a servant He increases the grief of him (of the servant) by reminding him of the Aakhirat and of his deficiencies in his Deeni practices and his obedience to his Rabb." Hadhrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (Rahmatullah alayh) said that sadness/grief produces better and quicker spiritual benefits than even mujaahadah (struggle) against the nafs. Thus, for the Mu'min whose focus is on Allah Ta'ala, even sadness is a wonderful ni'mat (blessing). Q. Please advise on the following issue: 'Mufti' menk this year went to the Philippines to meet with the kaafir Catholic mayor who is a vile faasiqah (female immoral devil) who openly said that the City of Mindano will never be ruled by Muslims. She and the government of Philippines are persecuting Muslims and killing them. This so-called 'mufti' accepted a gift from this vile woman and said: 'May Allah protect you and grant you success in everything you do''. This villain so-called 'mufti' sat and smiled with the vile mujrimah, kaafirah. This has been verified by people who had heard him utter these words of prayer and praise for the evil woman oppressor of Muslims. As a result, menk has been declared an apostate. Is it necessary to warn people about the evil of this so-called 'mufti'? A. It is incumbent to warn people to be on their guard against this Shaitaanul Ins (human devil). He is a 'mufti' and an expert in the science of Satanism. He trots the world in search of haraam boodle and nafsaani name and fame. His contemptibility is aggravated by the fact that he uses and misuses the Qur'aan and the Deen for attaining his despicable goals of the dunya and nafs. SALAAT BEHIND THIS SHAITAANI MUJRIM IS NOT VALID. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The one who imparts Knowledge to a person who is undeserving of it, is like one who garlands pigs with diamonds, pearls and gold." Knowledge in the context of this Hadith refers to higher Ilm of the Deen. Basic knowledge is Waajib for every Muslim. No one may be deprived of elementary knowledge which is necessary for every Muslim's daily activities – Deeni and mundane. However, knowledge which elevates a person to the status of an Aalim is restricted or should be restricted to only those who are qualified to bear this Amaanat (Trust). The meaning of qualification is not a long certificate or a turban. It means Amal (practical implementation) of the Knowledge acquired. If a student does not make amal on the Ilm he acquires, he should be debarred from the pursuit of higher Knowledge. Since this principle laid down by Rasulullah (Sallalahu alayhi wasallam) has been completely abandoned, the consequence we see is the glut of ulama-e-soo' – evil scholars for dollars. Once a man from a distant land came to Imaam Ahmad Bin Hambal (Rahmatullah alayh). He had travelled for many months to reach Imaam Ahmad. The night of his arrival he was the guest of Imaam Ahmad. Imaam Ahmad Bin Hambal placed a jug of water in the room for the guest for Wudhu at the time of Tahajjud. However, in the morning, Imaam Ahmad observed that the water had not been used. He asked the guest if he had performed Tahajjud Salaat. When the guest replied in the negative, Imaam Ahmad asked him: "Tell me – why did you leave your home to come here?" The man said that he desired to gain the knowledge of Hadith. Imaam Ahmad Bin Hambal (Rahmatullah alayh) said: "Then return from whence you have come." A person who does not perform Tahajjud is unfit to acquire the Knowledge of Hadith, hence Imaam Ahmad expelled him. This was the stance of the Salafus Saaliheen. A person who desires higher Ilm of the Deen must be imbued naturally with Khauf (Fear) of Allah Ta'ala, for the Qur'aan states: "Of the servants of Allah, only the Ulama fear Him." "Search for Me (i.e. Allah Ta'ala) among your weak ones, for verily, you are being granted rizq and aided by virtue of your weak ones." This is a Hadith Qudsi in which Allah Azza Wa Jal speaks. The weak ones are the Fuqara and Masaakeen – the poor, the destitute and the forlorn ones. Those of means should consciously 'search' for the weak and forlorn ones as commanded by Allah Ta'ala, and render aid to them. Tend to their needs, for they will be wonderful capital for you on the Day of Qiyaamah. Do not despise and scorn the weak. Do not regard them as a nuisance. Do not seek to get rid of them with tuppence. Give to them with an open heart. Understand well that you are giving to Allah Azza Wa Jal when you give to His weak and forlorn servants. Allah is in their hearts. Give to them with honour and respect. In so doing, you are bestowing a great boon to yourself, not to anyone else. Don't expect thanks and gratitude. Your attitude should be as Allah Ta'ala sums it up in the Qur'aan Majeed: "And, they (the Muttaqeen) feed the miskeen, the yateem and the prisoner because of His Love. Verily, we feed you for the Sake of Allah. We do not desire from you any reward or thanks." Q. Will it be permissible to plan / have an open day for ladies only? A few women who sell different stuff, all arrange to sell at one ladies home on a certain day at a certain time. A. The 'planned ladies day' is haraam and mal-oon (accursed). It is in open violation of the Qur'aan and the spirit of the Deen. Shaitaan operates in subtle and cunning ways to entrap people in flagrant sin. He begins with acts which may initially appear to be 'innocent' whilst such acts will be the snare for greater haraam. All kinds of women's events are haraam. Q. We have our banking account at Habib Bank. I recently discovered that Habib Bank is Shiah-owned. Is it permissible to deal with this bank? A. How could it ever be possible to deal with a Shiah bank? A fundamental article of Shiah belief is to hurl vituperation against the Sahaabah. They specially target Hadhrat Siddiqah Aishah (Radhiyallahu anha) for the slander of zina. Their hatred for the vast majority of Sahaabah is perfect satanism. They single out Hadhrat Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthmaan and Muaawiya (Radhiyallahu anhum) for their vilest vituperation. What answer will a Muslim have on the Day of Qiyaamah if asked by Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) about the dealings with such vile haters of those who were the beloved of Nabi-e-Kareem (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam)? It is not permissible to deal with this Shiah bank. There are many other banks. There is no pressing need to operate accounts with Habib Bank. If there is perhaps a Gupta Bank, then open an account with the Guptas. Allaamah Abdul Wahhaab Sha'raani (Rahmatullah alayh), a renowned Imaam of the Shaafi' Math-hab of the 9th Hijri century, narrated: "Once someone informed me of a book which was written in refutation of Imaam Abu Hanifah (Rahimahullaahu). That night in a dream I saw Imaam Abu Hanifah who towered about 70 cubits in the heaven in an aura of Noor such as the radiance of the sun while I saw that Aalim who had written in condemnation of Imaam Abu Hanifah appearing like a black mosquito. When our Imaam Shaafi' (Rahimhullaah) had said: 'All the people (i.e. the Ulama) are the children of Abu Hanifah in Fiqh.', then how can it ever be permissible for people like us to have the audacity to condemn him? Indeed it is worse than insanity." THE INSANE and excessive indulgence in futility and haraam has completely extinguished the concept of Taqwa which is a Waajib attribute to cultivate. The Qur'aan and the Sunnah repeatedly command and exhort the cultivation of Taqwa. Higher than Taqwa is the state of Wara'. The following episode illustrates and gives an idea of the meaning of Wara'. Once Hadhrat Ibraaheem Nakha'i (rahmatullah alayh) hired a horse to go on a journey. While riding, his whip fell from his hand to the ground. By the time he stopped the horse, the whip was a few metres behind. He did not turn the horse around to go riding to the spot where the whip was. He dismounted and walked to the spot to retrieve his whip. Then he walked to the horse. When he was asked the reason for this peculiar action, he said: "I had hired the horse from its owner to proceed ahead, not to come backwards. It is a violation of the right of the owner to retrace any distance already covered." It is mentioned in the Hadith that when an Aalim refrains from practically implementing his knowledge, his body in Jahannam will emit such a foul, stinking odour which will be revolting to the inmates of the Fire. They will scream with disgust and in terror when the offensive odour reaches them. They will angrily shout at this Aalim: 'O Khabeeth (Filthy, evil one)! What were your doings? Your stench is nauseating to us. Destruction for you. Is our plight of evil in Jahannam not sufficient for you?' He will reply: 'I was an Aalim who did not benefit from my knowledge." Question Are foods with the MSG ingredient halaal? Some Ulama say that it is a halaal ingredient. However, I have been told that some time ago in Indonesia it was established that MSG contains pig substances. Please comment. ANSWER Innumerable processed products contain this poisonous ingredient. The poison and harms to the health caused by the ingredient monosodium glutamate (MSG) have been scientifically established by the western masters and leaders of modernist Muslim bootlickers. It causes even cancer. The pork content of MSG was conclusively established in Indonesia some years ago. The report on the issue is reproduced here. INDONESIA Interna- tional outrage over Ajinomoto's use of pork enzyme in halal food escalates As three Japanese and four Indonesian officials from PT Ajinomoto Indonesia were arrested by local police, the largest Islamic body in the country admitted that it knew months ago that pork enzymes were being used in the production of the widely used flavour enhancer, monosodium glutamate (MSG). The Indonesian Ulemas Council (MUI) uncovered the illegal use of bactosoytone when it began an audit of the company in September 2000. Due to strict religious beliefs Muslims must only eat halal food, which is certified as free from pig product ingredients. Situated in the largest Muslim country in the world however, the head of MUI, the body that certifies halal food, K.H. Maruf Amin, said that "it did not want to scare the public until it got the facts right." Delay to reveal pork ingredients politically motivated? Others believe the delay on the part of MUI was politically motivated, as it positions itself between President Abdurrahman Wahid's struggling coalition government and the national assembly chairman Amein Rais, who is believed to be planning a coup before this coming August. Din Syamsuddin, MUI secretary general, maintains however that the three months taken to audit Ajinomoto was "nothing out of the ordinary." Revelations that the Indonesian subsidiary of Japan's Ajinomoto Co continued to use pork enzymes during the audit period have led many to label the government weak and ineffective... Recall initiated and factory sealed Nevertheless, the health minister has given Ajinomoto three weeks to complete a recall of 3,000 tonnes of MSG products from Indonesian shelves, and the company's factory and warehouses in East Java have been sealed. Saleh Saaf, national police spokesman, revealed, "seven executives have been declared suspects, but they can be released when we finish the questioning." Among those arrested for breaches in the consumer protection law were Ajinomoto Indonesia vice-president Yashushu Oda and president director Mitsuo Arakawa, who may face a five-year jail sentence. Meanwhile Wijono Subagyo, lawyer for the company executives, commented that the planned investment of US$137m has been cancelled because "Ajinomoto thinks it is not profitable to continue after the withdrawal and the closure of the existing factories." A spokesman for Ajinomoto, which controls a third of the 1.5m tonnes MSG market worldwide, added: "It is not clear when we will be able to resume selling the MSG products in Indonesia." It is also too early apparently to say how the incident will affect earnings. TSE sees Ajinomoto stock value plummeting In Tokyo, Ajinomoto's stock has plummeted and some argue that the Japanese investor community in Indonesia will be shaken by the arrests. An official at the Japanese Embassy in Indonesia commented however: "There are no indications yet that the confidence of Japanese firms has been affected. Many of them see the Ajinomoto case as just being a special case with no bearing on the investment climate." Ajinomoto incident spreads to Malaysia Hidenori Kawasaki, general manager of Kokusai Securities' equities trading division, did go as far as to reveal: "The market is wondering whether this is an issue only in Indonesia or if it would spread to other nations." And, with calls from an Islamic consumer group in Malaysia to test purportedly halal food despite repeated assurances that it is safe, it seems the panic has spread. Nadzim Johan, executive secretary of the Muslim Consumers Association of Malaysia, explained: "We are in no position to assure the consumers that the products are safe. That is why we want the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry to carry out tests and make the findings public." And in terms of informing the public, the reassuring words of Ajinomoto Malaysia last Friday are simply not enough to instil consumer confidence. (End of Report) The Ulama who claim that products with this haraam poisonous ingredient are halaal do not know what they blurt out recklessly. All products with the MSG ingredient are HARAAM. Haya (shame/modesty) is an integral branch of Imaan, said Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). The attribute of Haya is a natural inborn quality of a female, especially of a Muslim female. The culture of the West has extinguished this attribute from its womenfolk. Muslims who are emulating westernism have also suffered the same fate. That is why Muslim females have become so shameless, having no qualms about immorally parading in the public. This naseehat is particularly for those Muslims who consider themselves to be Deendaar (Pious people), and it concerns the manner in which they dress their little girls. Even in the homes of Deendaar people and the homes of such Ulama who are supposed to be from the Fraternity of Ulama-e-Haqq, little girls are dressed immodestly in western kuffaar style short dresses and tight pants which display their satr area. The extremely short dresses well above the knees and the tight pants make them appear like hideous specimens of shamelessness. However, due to the impact of westernism, parents are desensitized and fail to see and understand how evil their little daughters appear with the shameless dress of the western kuffaar. It is indeed peculiar that while the little boys in Deendaar homes are clad with long kurtahs well below their knees and loose-fitting pants, the little girls are paraded like prostitutes with their satr up for public display. This inversion of tastes is in reality an exhibition of deranged minds – minds which have suffered the impact of the lewd western cult. Shaitaan deceives parents with the fallacy of the girls being 'still small'. This is a terrible deception. Firstly, the mother in the house also dresses in similar style. Her dress is above the knees or she may be wearing just some kind of lewd top with a tight pants, appearing just like a prostitute. The argument of being inside the home and dressing up for the 'sake of the husband' is fallacious and self-deceptive. The Qur'aan states: "In fact insaan has baseerat (insight and awareness) over his (or her) nafs even though he (or she) presents excuses." What example does a lewdly dressed mother set for her little daughters? The 'still small' argument is untenable in terms of the Shariat. Every Muslim knows or should know that the child's Tarbiyat (moral and spiritual training) begins from the very inception of birth. As soon as the newborn has been cleansed, the Athaan and the Iqaamah are recited in his / her ears. Is this a 'superfluous' injunction imposed by Allah Azza Wa Jal? This act of Ibaadat is conclusive evidence for the intelligence and understanding of the newborn infant. He / she understands the Athaan and Iqaamat which securely embed Imaan in the heart. Now when Allah Ta'ala has ordered the commencement of the child's Tarbiyat from hour one of its birth, it is indeed gross injustice and flagrant transgression to ruin the haya of little girls with lewd/immoral western dress styles. It is haraam to dress little girls so immodestly which exhibits their satr. It is Waajib to dress them with long, simple dresses and loose-fitting pants – Muslim style. Hadhrat Ma'roof Karkhi (Rahmatullah alayh) said: "When an Aalim practises according to his Knowledge, then the hearts of the Mu'mineen incline to him with confidence. Then, it is only one in whose heart there is a disease (of hypocrisy) who will dislike him (the Aalim of Haqq)." Friend and foe understand the truth of an Aalim ba Amal, i.e. a practising Aalim – an Aalim of Taqwa. Even enemies repose confidence in such an Aalim for deep down in their hearts they acknowledge that nothing but the Haqq emanates from him.
