Bent on mutilating the Shariah and overriding the Qur'aan, a clique of so-called 'Muslim' bodies is supporting the nefarious non-Muslim Women's Legal Centre in a High Court bid to have the government compelled to enact legislation to compel Muslims to submit their matrimonial affairs to kufr laws. This un-Islamic, in fact, anti-Islam, women's body sporting some women with Muslim names, has made several abortive attempts in the past in collusion with a miscreant 'Muslim' attorney and some other zindeeq bodies and individuals to have the kufr MMB, the so-called 'Muslim' Marriages Bill hoisted on to the Muslim community. The latest haraam move by the conglomerate of kuffaar and zanaadaqah is a court attempt in the Western Cape High Court. The shaitaani plot is to convince the High Court to issue an order to compel the government to enact anti-Qur'aan legislation for overseeing, controlling and deciding Muslim matrimonial affairs. Defending Islam in the Western Cape High Court, the advocate, Brother Zehir Omar told the court that the WLC was manipulating "subtle means" to proscribe and override the laws which the Qur'aan prescribes for Muslims. Zehir Omar, who is leading the battle against the kufr plot in the High Court, is representing the GENUINE United Ulama Council of South Africa (UUCSA) and the Lajnatun Nisaail Mu'minaat (The Muslim Women's Association of South Africa) who are also Respondents in the case. The fake and fraudulent 'uucsa' which supports the kufr MMB has been kicked out by an Order issued by the Pretoria High Court. The attempt to subvert the Shariah which had been initiated more than two decades ago, is a shaitaani ploy to abrogate Qur'aanic Law in the name of 'Islam'. Hallucinated women's 'hardship' is the chimera which these enemies of Islam are dangling in front of the court in the pernicious effort to achieve their shaitaani objective. The evil plot seeks to convey to the world that Islam leaves Muslim women destitute, hence there is a need for the government to enact laws to proscribe the operation of the Shariah. Indeed, the MMB clique of zindeeqs is in cahoots with Iblees. They are his agents to whom the Qur'aan refers in the following Aayat: "Thus, have We created for every Nabi enemies from the jinn devils and human devils. They mutually whisper adorned (satanically adorned) statements of deception to one another...." This is the function of the so -called 'Muslim' bodies who are supporting the kuffaar WLC. Some of them go about their kufr trade covertly and others overtly. Muslims should not allow themselves to be ensnared into these satanic MMB traps with the Zukhruful Qaul (adorned words of deception) of Hizbush Shaitaan (the conglomerate of devils). Published 3 September, 2016 In response to a question, the Darul Ifta of Deoband Darul Uloom responded: Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem Neither is Mufti Saeed Ahmad Palanpuri Sahib nor any Aalim of Darul Uloom Deoband against the Tabligh Jamaat. Yes, some Tabligh members have deviated and indulged in ghuluw (haraam fanaticism). They are speaking a lot of errant nonsense. For example: 1. They apply Aayaat of the Qur'aan purely referring to Jihaad to Tabligh work. This is another form of Tahreef (interpolation). 2. The Madaaris of Islam are redundant and of no benefit. Ilm Deen is acquired by going out with the Jamaat. 3. (They ask): What have the Ulama done until now? They have done nothing. Whatever has spread of Deen has not been through the hands of the Ulama, rather it has spread through the Tabligh Jamaat. The Ulama have done 4% of work whilst the Jamaat Brothers 96%. Furthermore, the Ulama have not done work for the sake of Allah, rather for the sake of salaries. 4. If any Aalim gives Tafseer of the Qur'aan they stop him and say that only Fadhaail A'maal should be read; no other kitaab should be read. 5. There is no need for Taqwa and Tazkiyah Nafs. By going out with the Jamaat all these will be achieved. 6. They do not keep any Aalim as Imaam or Mudarris who has not devoted one year out with the Jamaat. If unknowingly such an Aalim is kept and thereafter it becomes known that he did not go out for a year, they dismiss him from Imaamate and Teaching. They do not give their daughters in marriage to him. 7. They look down upon the Ulama and they debate with them. 8. Whoever has not given a chillah is not thought of as a Deendaar, in fact not even as a Muslim. 9. Whoever does not join the customary Nizaamuddeen Tabligh, no matter how much Deeni service he may have done, they do not consider that to be Deeni work. Many issues of a similar nature have constrained not only Mufti Saeed Paalanpuri Sahib, but also many Ulama and Buzrugaan-e-Deen that the Tabligh Jamaat is on course to become a new sect. We have heard such statements from them. Leaving aside the methodology of the Qur'aan and Hadith they are following their own methodology and innovated 'deen'. Observing all these developments, educated, dignified and pious people of the Deen are really concerned. Looking at developments of this nature in the Markaz of Nizaamuddeen, responsible members of the Tabligh Jamaat have not only become concerned, they have separated themselves. All these things have occurred because of deviating from the Balanced Path. Do not leave the work of the Jamaat. Do continue with the work. However, do not deviate from the Balanced Way. Do the work in the manner and according to the Usool which Hadhrat Maulana Ilyaas Sahib had laid down for this work. Insha-Allah, no one will then point fingers. Wallahu Ta'ala A'lam. Darul Ifta' Darul Uloom Deoband COMMENT BY THE MAJLIS: We urge the elders of the Jamaat, to become alert to this deviation which has crept into the Tabligh Jamaat. It will indeed be a sad day when the Ulama will be constrained to brand the Jamaat as a deviant sect. Q. In Canada, the Canadian Mounted Police employs Muslim women as well. Muslim females have recently been given permission to have uniforms which conform to Hijaab rules. Please comment. A. What is there to comment about prostitutes? The 'hijaab' of these prostitutes just as every facet of their occupation, is a tool of prostitution. Whilst these prostitutes may have been born to Muslim families, they are not Muslims. They are murtads. Q. Some people make qur'baani of cows less than two years. Is the qur'baani valid? If sheep with tails are not available for Qur'baani, will it be permissible to sacrifice sheep without tails? Farmers cut off the tails to prevent disease. A. Regardless of the disease and scarcity of valid animals, it is not permissible to make qur'baani of a cow which is less than two years. The qur'baani will not be valid. If you are unable to acquire a sheep with tail, sacfrice a goat. Q. Is it permissible to recite the Qur'aan Shareef in the cemetery? Should dua in the cemetery be made collectively? A. The Qur'aan should be recited from memory in the Qabrustaan. Dua should not be made collectively at the time of burial nor at any time when visiting the qabrustaan. Everyone should silently engage in Dua. Q. Many people in Pakistan speak very ill of Hadhrat Maulana Husain Ahmad Madani (Rahmatullah alayh) because of his support for India. They say that he was insincere. Please comment. A. Those who make gheebat of even an ordinary Muslim are guilty of devouring the flesh of a dead brother. Making gheebat of such a great Aalim as Hadhrat Maulana Husain Ahmad Madani (Rahmatullah) is among the gravest sins. Devouring the flesh of Aalims is extremely poisonous and spiritually fatal. Those who speak ill of this illustrious Shaikhul Hadith are jeopardizing their Imaan. Q. When does the iddat begin for a woman who is given Talaaq? A. Once the husband issues Talaaq Baa-in whether verbally or in written form, then it will immediately terminate the marriage. The Iddat begins from the very moment Talaaq Baa-in is issued. The Iddat is a period of three full menstrual cycles. If he issues only a Talaaq without stating 'Baa-in', then such Talaaq can be revoked by the husband within the Iddat period. After expiry of Iddat he can no longer revoke it. It will then be final. To revoke the Talaaq he need only say that he has revoked it or taken back his wife or act with her in a manner in which husband and wife have relationship. Q. What is khula'? A. Khula' is a mutual agreement between the husband and the wife. If the husband refuses to issue Talaaq, the wife may offer him a sum of money to induce him to issue Talaaq. Khula' cannot be imposed unilaterally. It has to be by the mutual agreement of the husband and wife. Q. What is Faskh? A. Faskh means annulment. If the husband refuses to issue Talaaq and if the wife has valid Islamic grounds for desiring to opt out of the marriage, then she should apply to the local Ulama organization for Faskh of her Nikah. Q. Is it permissible to learn judo, karate, etc. if one has to bow to the instructor? A. It is haraam to bow for a human being. Taking lessons from such an instructor is not permissible. Q. Is it permissible to consume the medicine, Ritalin? A. It is not permissible to consume such a harmful drug-poison as Ritalin which causes serious complications, even death. Q. Is it permissible for a woman to pierce a second earhole so that she could wear two pairs of earrings? A. Piercing a second earhole is not permissible. Q. Is it true that the complexions of people in Jannat will be only white? If yes, then why? A. Whether the complexions of people in Jannat will be only white or also of other colours is known to only Allah Ta'ala. Whatever Allah Ta'ala wills, creates and selects is best. We are His creation. We do not comprehend His Wisdom. He does as He pleases. He is the Creator, The Wise and The Most Powerful. We puny creatures with our created brains with their finite and limited understanding cannot embrace in comprehension Allah's Power and Wisdom. It is not our obligation to fabricate interpretations for whatever He wills and for the complexions He will be bestowing to people in Jannat. Q. A wedding function is held in a hall where there is a mixed gathering of men and women who are dressed un-Islamically. Photography, videoing and sinful acts are committed. In one corner of the hall a section has been set aside for guests who observe purdah. This section is enclosed. An Aalim who attended this function says that it is permissible to be present as long as one is in the private section. A senior Mufti of a Darul Uloom says that it is permissible to attend if one will be seated in the separate section. Is this fatwa correct? A. Both the jaahil so-called 'aalim' and the 'senior mufti' are in grievous error. They are trapped in shaitaani deception known as Talbeesul Iblees. The fatwa of the Darul Uloom's mufti is baseless. In none of the texts cited by the Mufti is there any scope for permissibility for an Aalim or even a layman to knowingly attend a wedding function in a mal-oon (accursed) hall even if they provide separate seating for him. The very hall in which all the haraam activities are taking place is mal-oon. La'nat settles on all the participants. Any separate seating in a cordoned off corner is likewise under the la'nat of Allah Ta'ala. When the Aalim is aware of the fisq and fujoor that will be taking place in the hall, then it is haraam for him to attend. His participation accords acceptability and respectability to sin and transgression. The fatwa of the Darul Uloom has no validity in the Shariah. Q. Are motorplans permissible? A. Motorplans which come with the cars are permissible. Buying such plans separately is not permissible. These plans are insurance schemes if purchased separately. Q. If a car is purchased for one's own use, but after sometime the intention is made to sell it. Should Zakaat be paid on the value of the car? A If the car is purchased for use, not for selling, then Zakaat is not payable. But after the car is sold, then Zakaat is payable on the cash money if one still has the cash in one's possession at the expiry of one's Zakaat year when one usually pays Zakaat. Since the car was bought for use, not for selling, Zakaat is not payable on it even after one intends to sell it. Q. My husband and myself are reverts, having accepted Islam. I have given birth to a baby boy. We have a dispute regarding the circumcision of the baby. I want it to be done immediately as all Muslims do. But my husband says that we have to wait until the child is 18 years old then the circumcision will be done in the mountains. It is necessary to follow the tradition of the community. What is the view of the Shariah? A. It is Waajib (Compulsory) to have your child circumcised as soon as possible. It is not permissible to unnecessarily delay, and it is HARAAM to postpone it until he is 18 years old for the sake of fulfilling a kuffaar ritual. To do so is kufr. It is HARAAM for Muslims to adopt any ritual of a kuffaar religion even if the specific ritual does not entail any specific act of shirk. But adoption of a kuffaar religious practice is HARAAM. During circumcision in the mountains, kuffaar ritual will have to be followed, and this will render the person a murtad. Q. Is it permissible to keep monkeys as pets? A. It is not permissible to keep monkeys as pets. In bygone times, Allah Ta'ala had punished a community by transforming them into apes which the Qur'aan mentions. When Allah Ta'ala has chosen the form of monkeys as an Athaab, it is highly improper and not permissible to keep monkeys as pets. Q. Is there any difference between big and small pictures as far as the prohibition is concerned? A. Pictures of people and animals are haraam whether big or small. Q. It is said that the Iddat of a woman is three haidh cycles. From when does her Iddat begin if she was divorced during a clean period? A. The Iddat of a divorced woman is full three haidh cycles. If she was divorced during the state of Tuhr (Paaki – the clean period), then whilst her Iddat begins immediately, she still has to wait and be in Iddat until the end of the third haidh cycle. Q. Is it correct that the Iddat breaks if the woman sees ghair mahram males? A. The Iddat remains valid even if she sees ghair mahram males although it is haraam for her to intentionally appear in their presence. Q. During the Iddat is it permissible for the woman to apply perfume and adorn herself to attract her husband with the hope of reconciling? A. If the Talaaq is Talaaq-e-Raj'i (a revocable Talaaq), then in fact she should adorn herself to attract her husband with the intention of reconciliation. But if it is Talaaq Baa-in (a Talaaq which cannot be revoked), then adornment is not permissible. Q. What Math-hab do the Ulama in general follow in Saudi Arabia? A. In general the Ulama in Saudi Arabia are employed by the Saudi regime. They are supposed to be Salafis. But in reality their 'math-hab' is the Saudi regime. They do not follow any Math-hab. Q. What is the official Math-hab of Madinah University? A. Madina University does not follow any Math-hab. They are Salafis. Q. Which Math-hab did Ibn Tayyimah, Ibn Qayyim, Shaikh Uthaymeen and Shaikh Bin Ba'z follow? A. Ibn Taimiyyah followed none of the Four Math-habs of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah. Besides the Hanafi, Maaliki, Shaafi' and Hambali Math-habs, there is the Nafsaani math-hab. This is the math-hab of vain desire, self-opinion and deviation. He initiated his own nafsaani math-hab. Ibn Qayyim was his student, hence followed him (Ibn Taimiyyah). The other two are Salafis. They don't follow any of the Four Math-habs. They were freelancers, flitting from Math-hab to Math-hab to suit their opinions. Q. Should the muqtadi recite the Salaam with the Imaam or remain silent? A. The Muqtadi should also recite the 'Salaam'. He should recite everything in Salaat except the Qiraa't. Q. Some people say that shaitaan was an angel. Is this true? A. Shaitaan is a jinn, not an angel. The Qur'aan explicitly states that he is a jinn. Q. An employer charges his workers a service fee when giving them loans. Is this fee permissible? A. The 'service fee' which the employer charges for giving loans to his staff is haraam riba. It is interest which is haraam. The employer is a blood-sucker who thrives on haraam exploitation. Q. Is it permissible for a woman to attend an all ladies thikr programme? A. It is not permissible to attend a thikr gathering even if there are only women present. Engage in Thikrullaah at home in privacy. Q. Is it permissible for a male to teach baalighah girls hifz? A. It is haraam for a male to teach baalighah and near baalighah girls hifz even from behind a screen. It is haraam for him and others to listen to the voices of the girls. Q. What is the status of online aalim courses? A. Online 'aalim' courses are baseless. One cannot become an aalim in this manner. The way of the Sunnah which has come down to us from the Sahaabah is the only way. One cannot become an Aalim listening to a parrot. Q. It is said that a person who consumes liquor, his ibaadat is not accepted for 40 days. If before the 40 days it is Eidul Adha, should he make Qur'baani? Will it be accepted? A. Yes, he still has to offer the Qur'baani just as he has to perform all acts of ibaadat such as Salaat, Fasting, etc. The meaning of his ibaadat not being accepted is that he is deprived of the thawaab (reward) of the ibaadat. Nevertheless, it remains compulsory for him to discharge all ibaadat obligations. Furthermore, if he repents, then the sin is forgiven and he will then be rewarded for all his acts of ibaadat during the 40 day period. Q. Is the earth flat or round? Both sides have logical evidence for their respective views. I am confused. What is the Islamic view? A. Whether the earth is round or flat is known to Allah Ta'ala. We do not know. Islam is silent on this issue. And, whether it is flat or round, is of no importance. This issue has no relationship with Imaan. We are not going to be questioned about this on the Day of Qiyaamah. It is therefore a waste of time to become involved in futility. Q. A new craze is for males to put studs under their lip. Is such a person to be allowed in the Musjid? A. Such a human shaitaan who puts studs under his lip should not be allowed in the Musjid. Q. Is making dua aloud in congregation after Salaat Sunnah? A. Making dua aloud in congregation is not permissible. Everyone should make his own dua silently. The customary loud dua is bid'ah. Q. I have recently accepted Islam. I have still to memorize Qunoot for Witr. What should I recite presently? A. If you have not yet memorized Dua Qunoot for the Witr Salaat, then in the third raka't of Witr recite 'Subhaanallaah' a few times, at least thrice. Q. Are products with the ingredient shellac halaal? A. Products with shellac are not halaal. Q. Are skull and bone images permissible? A. Skull and bones images are not permissible. Q. Is it permissible to become a franchisee and a franchisor? A. It is not permissible to become a franchisee nor a franchisor. The dealings are riba and haraam. Q. Whilst leading the Salaat in Maghrib, I forgot to recite Surah Faatihah aloud. After three aayats, I remembered. What should I have done? Should Surah Faatihah be repeated aloud from the beginning or should one continue aloud from the aayat one remembers, and make Sajdah Sahw? A. Even if one aayat of Surah Faatihah is recited silently by mistake in a Jahri Salaat in Jamaat, then the aayat/s recited silently should be repeated audibly, and Sajdah Sahw be made. Q. In the 3rd Raka't of Fardh, if Surah Faatihah is recited audiby, after how many aayats wil Sajdah Sahw be incumbent? A. If in the third raka't of Jamaat Salaat, even if one aayat is recited audibly, Sajdah Sahw should be made. Q. Is the Thana which is being recited in Janaazah Salaat Masnoon? A. The Thana which is recited in Janaazah Salaat has been extant for the past fourteen centuries. Do you believe that the thousands of Fuqaha were all wrong and that you have understood this issue better. Was the entire Ummah astray for all these past centuries? Recite Istighfaar, and beware of shaitaani drivel. Q. Is it permissible to consume a herb which produces hallucinations? It is used as a medicine. Bright lights are visualized. A. It is not permissible to consume a herb which produces hallucinations. A 'medicine' which disturbs the mental equilibrium and induces the type of hallucinatory effect described by you is not permissible. The lights, etc. experienced when the mind is overwhelmed by such substances could be shaitaani deceptions. Shaitaan is capable of creating the experience of 'noor' – the noor of even angels in the human mind. Q. Is it permissible to use hypnotism for medical treatment? A. Using hypnotism, mesmerism and the like for treatment is not permissible. All such occult practices can be contaminated by satanic manipulation. Q. Some scholars use such methods for treating patients. A. Scholars who indulge in such practices should not be trusted. They can be influenced by sihr or some form of satanism. Q. Is it permissible to study books on stoicism A. It is not permissible to practice stoicism which is a philosophy of the ancient mushrik Greeks. One should not read such books merely for passing time or for mere interest. Only if the intention is to refute the baatil of a philosophy, may it be studied. Q. Please explain who is allowed to give Da'wah. I see a lot of people around me giving Da'wah, but they have not morally purified themselves. What are the criteria for giving Da'wah to others? A. Da'wah means to invite others to Islam or to offer good Islamic advice to anyone on any issue. Teaching one's children is also Da'wah. All forms of Deeni advice given to others is Da'wah. Self-reformation is not a condition for Da'wah. Just as Salaat, Fasting, Charity, Hajj, etc. are acts of ibaadat, so too is Da'wah. All acts of ibaadat have to be compulsorily performed regardless of the moral and spiritual status of a person. Similarly, Da'wah is an ibaadat which has to be upheld by even a person who is not a practising Muslim. If every person has to wait for the achievement of moral purification, the avenue of Da'wah will close. No one knows whether he has attained a sufficient degree of self-reformation to regard himself / herself as purified and qualified for Da'wah. The feeling that one has not achieved moral purification, hence not entitled to make Da'wah is a nafsaani deception. Whenever the opportunity occurs, one should engage in Da'wah. However, the Da'wah of a non-practising person will be devoid of barkat. People will not derive true benefit from him. Q. I loaned an item to someone. He now says that he has lost the item. Can I demand payment from him? A. The item you loaned to the person is in his trust. It is called amaanat. If he lost the item due to negligence, then you can ask payment. If it was not lost due to negligence, then you may not ask for payment. You will just have to accept the loss. Q. If a person misses Jamaat Salaat, should he still recite Takbeer Tashreeq after the Fardh which he performs alone? A. Yes, he should recite the Takbeer. Q. If the eyes are effaced from a picture, will the picture be permissible? A. The picture of the person or animal remains haraam despite effacement of the eyes. Q. A non-Musim male embraced Islam to get married with a Muslim woman. This was his sole intention. Is his Islam valid? A. The intention for embracing Islam must be for Allah Alone. The person should rectify his intention. If he does not genuinely believe in the truth of Islam, then his verbal profession of the Kalimah will not be valid between him and Allah Ta'ala despite it being technically valid for him to be classified a Muslim in the dunya. Q. A person openly claims that television is halaal. Is it permissible to offer Salaam to him and to respond to his Salaam? Is his claim kufr? A. It is not permissible to respond to the Salaam of the person who openly and flagrantly claims that television is halaal nor is it permissible to make Salaam to him. If he asks the reason, then politely explain that it is not permissible to make Salaam to a person who believes that an evil institution such as television is halaal. However, such a faasiq has not committed such kufr which expels one from the fold of Islam although he hovers on the brink of kufr. This is because many misguided, evil ulama are misleading the ignorant masses with their baatil fatwa of television's permissibility. These evil ulama who are agents of Iblees, themselves appear on television which is Dajjaal's eye of satanism. Q. Some years ago a group of persons purchased a house with the intention distributing the income to Deeni work in their village in Gujerat, India. Ten years later, the people where the house is situated, took the house by force. The rents have been accumulating in the bank over the years. I am one of the signatories. Both parties are demanding the accumulated income. To whom should I release the funds? A. The benefits of the Waqf house have to be used in terms of the niyyat of those who had established the Waqf. The community had no right to take the Waqf house by 'force'. They had thereby usurped the right of the original Waaqifeem who are the ones who had acquired the house and who had made it Waqf. The original Waaqifeen are entitled to use the rent income as they deem fit in accordance with their original intention. Since the original intention was for the funds to be used in the village of Gujerat for Deeni purposes, you should ensure that the funds reach the village. The funds should not be given to the committee which had usurped the rights of the original Waaqifeen. Q. What is the Sunnah regarding recitation of Takbeer during the Days of Tashreeq? Should the Takbeer be recited together with the Imaam in one voice? A. During the Days of Tashreeq (9, 10, 11, 12 and 13th Zil Hajj), it is Sunnah for all musallis – the Imaam as well as the Muqtadis – to recite Takbeer Tashreeq once aloud after every Fardh Salaat. The musallis should not wait for the Imaam to begin the Takbeer. They should recite immediately after the Imaam has made the Salaam of the Salaat. On the way to the Eidgah, on the Day of Eidul Adha, everyone should recite the Takbeer audibly, not in congregational form with one voice. Everyone should engage in his own Takbeer audibly until the Eidgah. On reaching the Eidgah, they should terminate their audible recitation. Q. In our country (Ghana) it is the custom to hang up the Qur'baani slaughtered animal after the inside is cleaned out. However, the meat is cut up and distributed only on the next day. The carcass remains hanging until the next day. Pease comment. A. To hang the carcass of the slaughtered animal until the next day for cutting and distribution is bid'ah. It should be done soon after the animal has been slaughtered. Q. My friend says that the Hadith regarding ibaadat on the Night of Eid is dhaef, hence one should ignore it. A. Your friend's thinking is 'dhaeef' and corrupt. If he knew the technical meaning of 'Dhaeef' he would not have uttered the drivel of abstaining from ibaadat on the great Night of Eid. Ignore his drivel and do not deprive yourself of the blessings and benefits of the Eid Nights. Q. What is the significance of fragrance emanating from a qabar? Comment on the assumption that it is not due to atar on the qabar or the mayyit or a fragrant plant. A. Although a sweet fragrance from a Qabar is not explained by the Hadith, nevertheless, it is a very good sign. Such fragrances do emanate from the Quboor of some Auliya and Shuhada. If the fragrance is due to atar or some fragrant plants on the Qabar, then surely this will be quite apparent. But fragrance being emitted from within the Qabar, is certainly a very good sign indicating the good status of the mayyit. Such fragrance from within the grave reaching the outside is most certainly not the effect of any atar on the freshly buried mayyit covered by tons of sand. Q. A student studying at a Madrasah told a boy and girl who had entered into a secret marriage that it is permissible for them to engage in sexual relations during the wife's menses if the husband feared committing zina. Do not regard yourself to be among the Saaliheen." When a misfortune/ calamity befalls, the person reacts with disbelief and frustration. He wonders why the misfortune has befallen him. What he does not understand is that every occurrence, good or bad, is the effect of a cause, and that Allah Azza Wa Jal is the Actual Creator of the calamity and that He is in full control. A common calamity nowadays is the incidence of grave physical diseases for which there is almost no known cure. Besides diseases there are also many other forms of misfortunes and hardships which strike people. All of these have causes. Generally, as far as most people are concerned, calamities are the consequences of sin and transgression. Therefore, when a calamity overtakes one, the imperative need is for introspection – soul searching – reflecting to correlate the misfortune with past misdeeds. (End of report) COMMENT From the Islamic perspective, the treatment doled out to the group of faasiqaat was well-deserved. Islamically, these women are faasiqaat and faajiraat in the category of Zaaniyaat The Qur'aan commands Muslim women to remain "glued" within the home precincts. Home is the Muslim's best and safest sanctuary, and this applies to both male and female, but for females it is imperative (Waajib) to remain within the confines of the holy home, and not venture to places of immorality and zina such as beaches and other public avenues. Prowling in the streets, malls and other public haunts such as beaches and venues of shaitaani play, sport and amusement is never befitting for a Muslim woman who believes in Allah, the Last Day and the Accountability in the Divine Court. When Muslim women so shamelessly venture into the abodes of fisq and fujoor as the group of 12 faasiqaat is guilty of, then they must expect reactions which they term 'Islamophobia'. It is not 'Islamophobia'. Such reactions and treatment of the kuffaar are normal and only to be expected. There is no need to kick up dust and blow hot hair. The women have to examine themselves and understand that they are in blatant violation of Allah's Law of Hijaab, hence the so-called 'Islamophobia' reactions are mild forms – very mild – of Allah's Athaab. Why does this miserable fellow believe in Tauheed (that is if he does proclaim such belief)? Why does he read and accept the Qur'aan? Why does he accept the numerous teachings of Islam? "Scientific research" – the science of the atheists – does not prove the authenticity of all these tenets. On the contrary, the science of the atheists rejects all of these Islamic beliefs and tenets. The kufr science to which this murtad is enslaved denies Jannat, Jahannam, Malaaikah and the thousands of other beings, creations and issues stated by Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Does this coprocreep believe in these issues of Islam? If he does, he should produce the "scientific proof" of the kuffaar scientists to corroborate him. This character should openly declare his kufr which he is abortively attempting to conceal. He displays clear signs of being a Munaafiq. A PROVEN AND CONFIRMED PRACTICE OF ISLAM. Hadhrat Abu Ali Jurjaani (Rahmatullah alayh) who was among the very senior Auliya of Khuraasaan said: "The effect of Sabr is nothing but reaching Allah Ta'ala." Constancy in Sabr ensures attainment of the Goal, that is, the proximity of Allah Ta'ala. In the context of Hadhrat Jurjaani's statement, Sabr has a wider meaning than the usual idea of 'patience' in adversity. The one kind of Sabr is patience in adversity. When a trial, whether it be sickness, loss of dear ones, loss of property or any other calamity, afflicts one, it is incumbent to adopt Sabr. This Sabr entails focusing on Allah Ta'ala and understanding that in reality it is Allah Ta'aala Who has created the trial. There is no need for frustration, despondency and panic. Nothing will alleviate the difficulty. Increase Istighfaar and Dua and resign to the fate decreed by Allah Ta'ala. The other kind of Sabr is Istiqaamat (steadfastness) in Ibaadat. It is incumbent to be steadfast in all acts of Ibaadat and Thikrullah, not only the Fardh and Waajib acts. Even in the observance of Nafl acts, Istiqaamat is necessary. The nafs has to be pressurized to sustain all acts of ibaadat. The third kind of Sabr, is firmness in restraining and subduing the nafs when it makes demands for sin and transgression. This Sabr is greater than even performance of Nafl acts. Abstention from sin and futility is Waajib at all times. Without struggle (mujaahadah) against the nafs, success in the spiritual path will not be attained. Allah Ta'ala has sent us into this world to struggle. The primary struggle is against the nafs. The one who succeeds to keep the nafs in submission to the commands of Allah Ta'ala, achieves a great success. He who fails in this struggle, ruins himself. The Qur'aan Majeed states: "Verily, he who has purified the nafs, has attained victory. And, he who has soiled the nafs, verily he is in loss (ruin and destruction)." REMEMBER THIS WARNING Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "A man who had earned wealth in a halaal way and spent it in a halaal way, will be addressed, and it will be said to him: "Halt for the Reckoning!" A reckoning will then be taken of every grain and particle. He will be asked: 'From whence did you obtain it and how did you spend it?" Then Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) added: "O Son of Aadam! "What will you do with this world? There will be a reckoning for its halaal things and a punishment for its haraam things." Q. My brothers, sisters and their children have started a family group on watsapp, whereby each family member is issued with 1 or 2 paras of the Qur'aan and each month a khatam is completed. A niyyat is made beforehand, e.g. This khatam is for all marhooms (deceased). This is over and above their daily Quraanic recitations. I do notice alot of my young nieces and nephews on the group and they are encouraged to make tilaawat of the Quraan. There is no compulsion to join or read. Is this okay? Can I join this group? Q. A family WhatsApp group has been created in which they complete a Quraan khatam for the Esale Sawaab of Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and all the marhomeen. Each family member will complete a certain para and advise the Admin on the WhatsApp group of the para completed. Is this permissible to do or to participate in? A. Do not join the haraam whatsapp group. Shaitaan is an extremely cunning enemy. He utilizes this evil medium with the Qur'aan as a bait to entrap people into evil. Recite Qur'aan in privacy at home without informing anyone. It is haraam to display and advertise ibaadat. Shaitaan has trapped the group. They are advertising their tilaawat, hence all value of the ibaadat is destroyed. Furthermore, it is not permissible to use an evil, haraam medium for any act of ibaadat. Whatsapp is a haraam medium. The only Ibaadat which has to be performed in public are the acts so commanded by Allah Ta'ala such as Jamaat Salaat, Hajj and Eid Salaat. All Nafl acts of Ibaadat should be incumbently performed in silence and as far as possible in privacy. Shaitaan has appeared to the whatsapp group in Deeni guise to ensnare them into the haraam, porno, zina internet medium. The practice whispered to them by shaitaan is a mockery of the Qur'aan Majeed. If these persons are sincere, they should recite the Qur'aan Majeed at home without informing anyone. It is despicable and not permissible to advertise one's private acts of ibaadat. The 'Admin' in the second question is in reality Shaitaan. Hadhrat Ibn Abbaas (radhiyallahu anhu) narrated that an injured man with his bloodied body came to Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). When Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) enquired of his condition, the man said: "A woman passed by me. I cast a lustful gaze at her. Then I continued to stare at her. Without realizing I walked straight into a wall which (miraculously) struck me and reduced me to the condition that you are now seeing." Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "When Allah desires to do good to a servant, then He hastens the punishment for him in this world." Q. The Darul Ifta in New York in a fatwa proclaims the validity, in fact incumbency, of global moon sighting for Ramadhaan and Eid. They also maintain that it is necessary or compulsory to follow the moon-sighting declarations of Saudi Arabia. Is their fatwa valid? A. The Darul Ifta's fatwa is grossly erroneous and misleading. They have simply lumped together an array of names of senior Ulama and fabricated a misleading fatwa which we attribute to their bootlicking of the Saudi regime. The fatwa is designed to promote Saudi hegemony on the Ummah. The fatwa of the New York Darul Ifta has been refuted in a detailed article by the Mujlisul Ulama of S.A., captioned Global Moon Sighting. True and genuine friendship is possible only for the Sake of Allah Ta'ala. Such friends on the Day of Qiyaamah will be under the glorious Shade of Allah's Throne on that Day when there will be no shade by the Shade of His Arsh. 'Friendship' on the basis of trade or any other worldly basis is never a true friendship. Such artificial friendship end quickly with a slight argument. The aforementioned Hadith emphasizes a very significant attribute of true and holy friendship, and that is the enduring nature of a Friendship which was struck up for Allah's Sake. There will necessarily be human factors from time to time to produce kinks in the friendship, but such issues will not terminate the true friendship. The only disaster which can end a true friendship is the calamity of sin. This is what the Hadith states. If a friend persists in the commission of a sin, refusing to abandon it, then it will be valid grounds for terminating the friendship. But, it is not permissible to end the true friendship for worldly or nafsaani reasons. Hadhrat Yahya Bin Muaz (Rahmatullah alayh) said: "Your friend is he who warns you of your sins." A Hadith mentioning the qualities of a true friend, states: "When you see him, he reminds you of Allah. When he speaks, he increases you in Knowledge. His amal (deeds) increase you in the remembrance of the Aakhirat." .....In short, Tafweez is required in everything, be it a worldly matter or a Deeni matter. The Awliya utilize it from the outset whilst the people of the dunya adopt it afterwards. It does not mean that one should abandon strategy. Adopting a strategy and plan of action are not nugatory of Tafweez. Adopting a plan of action is also commanded by that Being whose Right demands Tafweez. Thus a person should adopt a course of action but leave the result to Allah Ta'ala. One should not formulate one's own result. One's attitude should be: Whatever He is happy with I am happy with. The one who adopts Tafweez sets his sights from the beginning on Allah Ta'ala and adopts a course of action solely because of following the Sunnat and out of obedience unto Allah Ta'ala. His intention is never that the action must bear fruits. He leaves his success or failure in the Hands of Allah Ta'ala. He strives whether he is successful or unsuccessful. In all cases he is happy. A person who only thinks of success through his efforts will find his problems and worry endless. If he is faced with some problem or something against his grain he will grieve over his failure, whereas in Tafweez there is comfort..... ....Bear in mind that worry revolves around having a mirage set for oneself and for one's family. We all are caught up in this sickness. We cherish distant hopes. But when our hopes do not materialize then we are struck with anxiety and grief. Had we not decided on our fate, we would have never been overcome with worry. The Awliya-Ullah enjoy the most comfort and peace of mind. They are not afflicted with worry and remorse at anything because they have not decided a set condition for themselves. In fact, they happily and totally surrender themselves to the Will of Allah Ta'ala. This is Tafweez and this is what Islam is all about..... (Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi) NOOR OF TAHAJJUD Someone asked Hadhrat Hasan Basri (rahmatullah alayh): "What is the speciality of the people of Tahajjud? Their faces are more radiant than the faces of others." Hadhrat Hasan (rahmatullah alayh) said: "They adopt solitude with Allah Ta'ala. Allah Ta'ala therefore cloaks them with the garment of Noor."
