The shaitaaniyat, fisq, fujoor and even kufr with which molvis and laymen Muslims have soiled themselves with at Nkandla cannot be swept under the carpet. It is an evil haraam event on which the boot-sucking molvis should repeatedly ruminate to understand the villainy and shaitaaniyat they had perpetrated in the name of Islam. They are responsible for having misled numerous Muslims into the den of fisq, fujoor and kufr. We reproduce here a verbatim account of a Brother who had suffered the misfortune of attending the haraam 'dawah' hoax – a cruel hoax which contained the elements of kufr. Bismillah arrahmaani arraheem We were invited to a meeting of which the agenda was about the final planning of the nkandla event. It took place on the 13-07 -2016 at Sherwood, Baytu noor 22 Browns grove. It was attended by officials from jamiatul ulama, Darul-ihsaan, al-imdaad and other organizations. Abbas Mkhize as the main speaker, requesting help from the different organizations in order for the event to be a success. In the meeting Abbas Mkhize made it clear that the event is exclusively a Mkhize event. We made our way to Nkandla in hopes that people will come to know about the ONENESS OF ALLAH. Upon our arrival at Nkandla we were shocked to find men and women mixed at a Dawah event. We took our seats, Moulana Moosa Mkhize who was the MC introduced the entry of the king whereby he urged everyone to stand for the king until the king was seated. To our surprise all the officials of different organizations who were on the stage stood for the king including the officials of jamiatul ulama like the secretary-general of jamiatul ulama-Transvaal Ebrahim Bham, the president of the MJC irfaan Abrahams, the amir of Darul-ihsaan mufti Zubayr Bhayat and other members of other organizations. Even the ambassadors of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt. The principal of Darul uloom Newcastle Ismail Akoo also stood with whoever stood for the king. At this point we were ashamed to see muslims belittling themselves to a non-muslim king .Waleed al-sa'di spoke in which he praised the king and made promises of developing the area by putting resevoirs, community farming and building a cultural centre. He even went to the extent of seeking forgiveness from the king for Muslims practising islam without the permission of the king and he sought the endorsement of Islam from the king. Promising the king that the Muslims will come and pray in the king's palace along with other religions on an annual ritual prayer that takes place in the king's palace. The president of MJC Irfaan Abrahams greeted the king with a full islamic greeting seeking mercy, peace and blessing for the king. He also prayed and invoked Allah to protect the king, grant him good leadership and make him maintain the good leadership he has. He went on praying for the kings health etc on completion of his prayer he stood in front of the king only to bow. By this point we are utterly shocked but remained seated in hopes of the Dawah talk. A non-Muslim elder from the Mkhize family gave a speech about the Mkhize family history which was followed by the mother of the Mkhize moulanas talking about their Islamic journey as a Mkhize family. One of the famous Tijani Sheikhs, Ibrahim Baye gave a speech in which during his introduction Moosa Mkhize sang the kalimah "laa ilaaha illallaah" as the famous Tijani sheikh made his way to the stage. Thereafter the main speaker of the day Abbas Mkhize was called to give his speech. He opened with a christian famous song, the people in the tent joined him in singing. Just to mention a few things he spoke of, he said Islam cannot be without kings, Muslims have conflicts but they were united in the king's name, Zulu traditions and culture is compiled and recorded in all Islamic books then he read the letter which he said was sent by Rasulullah (sallallaah alayhi wasallam) to the abyssinian king in which he commented that the prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) was actually telling the Absynnian king that they are equal in faith and inviting the king of Abyssinia to islam. Abbas Mkhize then invited the king of the Zulus to Islam saying he must return to his roots. He also mentioned that islam was more visible to all the Nations only after the african king accepted it. Thereafter the king was given a chance to deliver a speech just after the speech of Abbas Mkhize and as an introduction to his speech the poet recited his praises and the king came to the podium and started by thanking the Mkhizes for inviting him to their ceremony of introducing their kingdom and from this it was understood that the king did not understand that the ceremony was for inviting him to Islam. He also gave a brief history of the Zulu kingdom, mentioning the constitution and how it allows and respects everyone's culture and belief. He criticized the killings and the violation of government property, asking the Muslim community to put hand in peace initiatives and feeding the poor. In his conclusion he instructed the people to stand and sing with him (Christian song) and the people in the tent stood and sang along with him. It is very sad and disappointing that the people which the Muslim community look up to as islamic scholars and representatives of famous islamic bodies could stoop so low whereby they publicly displayed the violation of islamic ethics and compromised their dignity and honour as Muslims in pleasing a non-muslim king. Now let us look at all these things under islamic perspective. A l l t h e representatives of different organizations who were on stage stood in respect of the king while the best of mankind the Prophet ( sa l l a l l a a h u alayhi wasallam) prohibited standing for any person including himself as a sign of respect as it comes in a hadeeth reported by Abu Umamah (ra) who said: the messenger of Allah ( sa l l a l l a a h u alayhi wasallam) came out to us leaning on a stick and we stood up to show respect to him and the Prophet ( sa l l a l l a a h u alayhi wasallam) said: DO NOT STAND up as Pagans do to show respect to one another)) narrated by Abu Dawud hadeeth no.5211 Some of them over praised the king more especially those who spoke while some of them even greeted the king with a full islamic greeting while the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi w a s a l l a m ) s a i d: ((Do not start the Jews and the christians with greetings and if you meet them on the roads then force them to go to the narrowest part of it) narrated by Musl i m a n d Ti r mid h i All that was portrayed was the true nature of all the organizers of the Nkandla Mkhize event and it only proves how shameless they are to go against the teaching of the holy prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) and even overlooked what the prophet ( sa l l a l l a a h u alayhi wasallam) used to say when writing letters to the kings inviting them to islam. He would not use the full islamic greeting but rather he would say "peace be upon the one who follows guidance". Waleed al sa'di went too far when he gave rights to the king which no human being deserves whereby he asked for forgiveness from the king to practice THE DEEN OF ALLAAH. Which king deserves to be asked for permission to worship Allah in the land of Allah while Allah says: ((And for Allah is whatever in the heavens and the earth and to Allah the matters return)) aal Imraan v:109 Abbas Mkhize even claimed that Muslims are dis-united but they were able to unite in the kings name ignoring the fact that Muslims can only be united by the book of Allah and the sunnah of the prophet(sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) as Allah said: ((And hold fast to the rope of Allah all together and do not be divided)) s. Aal imraan v: 103 This ceremony was an eye opener for all Muslims to be very cautious with regards to their deeni affairs and to study their deen from reliable sources and to never compromise their deen under any circumstance. So we must try to remember that the only thing that can unite us as Muslims is not the king or family ceremonies or culture but rather it is the book of Allah and the sunnah of the Prophet ( sa l l a l l a a h u alayhi wasallam) according to the understanding of the salaf salih (the first three praised generations of Islam from the sahaabah, the taabi'un and their followers). (End of the Brother's lament) A BROTHER COMMENTS It is indeed sad days we are witnessing. How can any man in his right senses vote for a woman who has plastered her picture all over the streets. Is that a woman who is sane? Where in Islam does it say we must vote a woman into office or power? (On the contrary, Rasulullah –Sallallahu alayhi wasallam – said: "Never ever will prosper a people who entrust their affairs to a woman." – The Majlis) These Ulama who condone and promote such haraam seem to have taken a full turn about and are selling this religion out for a miserable price. (They are traitors who have treacherously sold the Deen down the drain – The Majlis) The amount of things taking place in South Africa is enough to earn the Wrath and Curse of Allah. May Allah forgive me first. You have these haraam events taking place: 1. Gandhi walk 2. Palestine walk 3. Nkandla circus event 4. Voting for Muslim women 5. Ulama on TV. And the lists continue to grow daily. (End of the Brother's letter) Yes, the list goes on and on. Add to this list: Haraam competitions where the Qur'aan Majeed is made a mockery; Women's qiraa't competitions; Zina 'marriage' conferences; haraam wedding functions; merrymaking mass mock i'tikaafs; women parading in the malls and M u s a a j i d; w i f e - swo pp in g; Musjid imaams promoting kuffaar sport; organizing qawwaalis in Musaajid; carrion halaalizing; and much more. We are yet to see the disastrous consequences of the villainy of the treacherous molvis and of the errant fussaaq and fujjaar masses. Q. Is it permissible for these Hajj organizations to make a profit? A. A Haj organization is a commercial enterprise. It is not a charitable body, hence it is permissible to make a profit. However, it is haraam for them to deceive the public by claiming that they are charitable. Q. What remedial measures could be put in place to bring the radio stations in line with the Shariah? A. Forget about remedying the miscreant shaitaani radio stations and the ignorant jamiats. They are beyond redemption. There is no hope for reforming Iblees and his legions. The radios were evil from their very inception. The Jamiats have drifted from Siraatul Mustaqeem. They have abandoned Amr Bil Ma'roof. We have repeatedly criticized them for their evil. Now, only Allah Ta'ala can remedy them, either changing their hearts or with His Punishment. Q. Please comment on the raaqis. Are their amals of exorcizing jinn, etc. valid? A. Give the commercial raaqis the boot. People have become paranoid with the suspicion of sihr. Every headache and every monetary loss in business are baselessly attributed to sihr. These crank raaqis further entrench the paranoia in people's minds with their diagnosis which is heavily influenced by the monetary factor. Q. I owe an Islamic bank a large amount of money for a house which I had purchased in terms of their Islamic scheme. If I am in breach with an instalment or two, do I lose my rights? Can the bank claim the full amount according to the Shariah? A. Breach and default do not nullify the rights of the debtor. The breach/default does not grant the banks any rights except that it may demand payment of such instalments which are overdue. It cannot demand payment of the entire debt. Q. In Mauritius our Jamiatul Ulama also sanctions SANHA's products. What should we do? A. The Mauritius jamiatul ulama has also fallen by the wayside by following in the footsteps of the evil SANHA. Abstain from the carrion which these miscreants halaalize. Q. A fishmonger sells all sorts of sea animals such as crabs, crayfish, shrimps, etc. Is it permissible to buy fish from him? A. It is permissible to buy fish from the fishmonger. Although all sea animals are haraam for Hanafis, they are paak (taahir), hence the fish will not be rendered impure if mixed with other sea animals as you have explained. It will suffice to wash the fish. Q. My cousin lives with a kaafir man. I no longer visit her. I have cut my ties with her. She is very annoyed because of this. Am I right? A. Since your cousin is living in the state of adultery with the kaafir man, you are correct in severing ties with her. Her marriage to the kaafir is not valid. Q. What if the one performing Salaat is a Qadiani or a Shiah? Can we pass in front of them? A. Shiahs and Qadiansis are not Muslims. Passing in front of them whilst they are praying is permissible. Q. What is the difference between Makrooh and Haraam? A. Haraam and Makrooh Tahrimi as far as practice is concerned, mean the same thing. It means 'not permissible', and punishable with the Fire of Jahannam. The technical difference has no bearing in the practical implementation of deeds. The consequences of both are the Fire of Jahannam. Q. If the nails are way too long while one is in the state of haidh, can it be cut? A. It is not permissible to clip nails during the state of janaabat. Why would the nails be 'way too long' when one is in the state of janaabat? It will be so due to one's carelessness. Before haidh begins, one should clip the nails. It is Sunnah to clip the nails once every seven days. However, if due to carelessness, one did not clip the nails, and during the haidh period, forty days have passed without clipping the nails, then it will be Waajib to clip the nails even in janaabat. Q. Should the last two raka'ts of Isha be performed whilst sitting? A. The last two raka'ts Nafl of Isha' should be performed standing. Whilst there is a weak view of sitting to perform these two raka'ts, it is not the reliable view. The reward for performing Nafl sitting is reduced by 50%. Q. Is it true that recycled water is used in Saudi Arabia? A. We are not aware if the water is recycled. It is quite possible. The whole Saudi state is a western-recycled fraudulent entity. Almost everything in Saudi Arabia is recycled and fraudulent. Q. I have heard that chemicals are used to keep the water cool in the tanks in the Musjids of the Haramain. Is this true? A. We are not aware if any chemical is being used to keep Zam Zam cold. It is quite possible. The Saudis are the bootlickers of the western kuffaar. They are liable to do anything commanded by their U.S. bosses. Q. Shiahs celebrate an 'Ayeshah day'. On this day they hurl curses and slanders against Hadhrat Aishah (Radhiyallahu anha). Now some Sunnis are also organizing an 'Ayeshah Day' to commemorate the virtues of Hadhrat Aishah (Radhiyallahu anha). Is this permissible? A. Those who are celebrating 'Ayeshah' day in emulation of the Shiah kuffaar are juhala. They are morons even if they are chanting anti-Shiah slogans. Their campaign is stupid and not permissible. Q. I am told that according to Imaam Maalik (Rahmatullah alayh) the Taraaweeh Salaat consists of 36 raka'ts. Is this correct? A. It is incorrect. Twenty Raka'ts Taraaweeh are Sunnatul Muakkadah according to all Four Math-habs. There is no difference of opinion on this issue. After every four raka'ts there is a pause which is called Tarweehah. During this pause it is permissible to engage in any act of ibaadat whether Thikr, Tilaawat of the Qur'aan, Dua or Nafl Salaat. It was the practice of the people of Madinah during the early days to perform four raka'ts Nafl individually during this Pause. In Makkah the practice was to make Tawaaf during the Pause. The 16 raka'ts which they used to perform in Madina are Nafl, which are not part of Taraaweeh. - They can feel the reality of the presence of the worst form of evil and uncleanliness. - Some claim to have experienced the Light of the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam leading the Sahabah Radhiyallahu Anhum, albeit just for a few seconds. - A person also claimed to have seen Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. (The description given was that of a Magnificent Ocean of an Immense Shining White Light). A. It is not permissible to consume the herb which produces hallucinations. A 'medicine' which disturbs the mental equilibrium and induces the type of hallucinatory effect described by you is not permissible. It is not permissible to submit to such 'medication'. The lights, etc. experienced when the mind is overwhelmed by such substances could be shaitaani deceptions. Shaitaan is capable of creating the experience of 'noor' – the noor of even angels in the human mind. Q. Is it permissible in the Shari'ah to read the books and study topics such as hypnosis as a form of treatment for ailments or to protect oneself from negative people in society who apply hypnosis in a manipulative way via language techniques. It is quite common in this time and era in business and through the media, that people use hypnotic techniques to bamboozle the thinking of an unsuspecting candidate for ulterior motives etc. A lot of modern day wizards, donning suits use it to befuddle an unsuspecting public into their agendas, via the wrong use of the field of Neuro-Linguistic-Programming etc. A. Using hypnotism, mesmerism, language techniques and the like for treatment is not permissible. All such occult practices can be contaminated by satanic manipulation. Q. Recently even Muslim scholars seem to be copying the modus operandi of the leaders of other religions when imparting the Knowledge of Deen, i.e. similar to that of rabbis, priests and cardinals, and modern day wizards in suits. Is all of this permissible? A. Scholars who indulge in such practices should not be trusted. They can be influenced by sihr or some form of satanism. Q. Is it permissible for a Muslim to practise stoicism, and apply the philosophy of the stoics objectively within a shar'ee domain? Are such books permissible to read objectively or critically with an Islamic mind? A. It is not permissible to practice stoicism which is a philosophy of the ancient mushrik Greeks. One should not read such books merely for passing time or for mere interest. Only if the intention is to refute the baatil of a philosophy, may it be studied. There is no scope in the Shar'i domain for satanism. Q. Which is the last aayat of the Qur'aan Shareef? A. The last revealed Aayat of the Qur'aan Majeed is Aayat 281 of Surah Baqarah Q. Some Hanafi Imaams recite the Qiraa't so swiftly that the Shaafi' muqtadis are unable to recite Surah Faatihah which is Fardh for them in every raka't in every Salaat. After Surah Faatihah the Hanafi Imaam does not pause to allow the Shaafis to recite Surah Faatihah. What advice is there for these imaams? A. The indiscretion of the Imaams who have Shaafi' muqtadis is lamentable. The matter is simple to solve. The Hanafi Imaam is not permitted to adopt such a long pause after Surah Faatihah to enable the recitation of Surah Faatihah. However, the Shaafi' Muqtadis should recite Surah Faatihah whilst the Imaam is reciting the Surah after Surah Faatihah. In the raka'ts of the Fardh Salaat of Zuhr and Asr, the Shaafi' Muqtadis should have no problem. They should recite Surah Faatihah at the beginning of the Raka't whilst the Imaam is silently reciting the Qiraa't. However, they may have a problem in the last two raka'ts if the Hanafi Imaam is careless and recites so swiftly which prevents the Shaafi' Muqtadis from completing Surah Faatihah. In such cases, they should simply follow the Imaam into Ruku even if they had not completed Surah Faatihah. Their Salaat will be valid. Q. Are laybyes permissible? If yes, what are the rules? A. Laybyes are permissible. When a deposit is paid by a customer, he/she becomes the owner of the item. The trader retains the item in his custody until full payment is received. After a specified stipulated time, if the customer does not collect his parcel, the trader has the right to open and sell it. The initial deposit, plus whatever other payments have been paid as well as any profit made on reselling the item have to be refunded to the customer. If the item has been sold after the stipulated time, and if the customer can not be traced, the money has to be held in trust until there is no hope of finding the customer. The money should then be given as Sadqah. However, if after having given the money to charity, the customer does turn up, then the trader has to pay him, and he (the trader) will receive the reward of the Sadqah. Q. What is the status of commercial bread? A. Commercial bread at the best is Makrooh and very harmful for the health. At the worst, it is haraam. Such bread contains a host of chemically named ingredients. There is also much doubt regarding the type of fats/oils they use for the baking pans. It is best to abstain from commercial bread. Q. Is it permissible to sell hookah pipes? A. It is not permissible to sell hookah pipes. Q. According to the Hadith, Salaat should be performed immediately the time begins (Awwal Waqt). However, at our Musjid, Fajr is performed 30 minutes later. Is this proper? A. Yes, it is proper. Your understanding is incorrect. Follow the times stipulated by the Math-hab to which you adhere. According to the Shaafi' Math-hab, the Athaan and the Salaat should be in Awwal Waqt. As soon as the time for the Salaat enters, it should be performed. According to the Hanafi Math-hab to which we adhere, the Fajr Jamaat Salaat should be when it is somewhat light, not in Awwal Waqt. It is improper and deviant to extract a Hadith from a book and then submit it to personal opinion. Follow the Math-hab of which you are a follower, then you will be on safe and sure ground. You are not a Mujtahid. Q. Is it permissible for a woman to remove hair from her face, arms and legs? A. Yes, it is permissible for a woman to remove facial hairs and hairs from any where on her body, except the hair on her head, eyelashes and eyebrows. Q. A man had kept kafan for his burial. He had directed that the specific kafan should be used when he dies. However, the heirs did not fulfil his wasiyyat. What should be done with the kafan? A. The remaining kafan cloth form part of the mayyit's estate. It belongs to all the heirs in proportion to their Miraath (Inheritance) shares. They may sell it and divide the money among themselves or one of them may buy it. The money could then be divided. Q. When performing Salaat alone, is it necessary to recite the Qiraat with lip movement? A. When performing Salaat alone, it is Waajib to recite the Qiraa't with lip and tongue movement so that one is conscious of one's own recitation. Without this, the Salaat will not be valid. Q. Are the Sufi tariqas valid in the Shariah? A. The sufis of this age are not genuine Sufis as were the Auliya of former days. In our present age, almost all the Sufi tareeqas are cults of bid'ah and shirk. But genuine Sufi'ism (Tasawwuf) is an integral part of Islam. Q. A Muslim sung a tribute of praise for a non-Muslim woman who dies, and who was a humanitarian worker. He also believes that because of her humanitarian work she is a Muslim and in Jannat. What is his status? She was buried as a Christian and led a Christian life. A. The tribute which was sung in praise of the kaafirah, Christian woman is kufr. The person who holds the views mentioned in your letter is a MURTAD. If he desires to be a Muslim, he has to renew his Imaan, and also his Nikah. Q. When a partner in a business dies, what is the state of the partnership? Do his heirs become partners in his place? A. Death cancels the partnership of the deceased. His partnership is not transferred to the heirs. On the death of a partner, the financial state of the business has to be compulsorily ascertained and the share of the assets of the deceased partner should be paid to his heirs. Q. In our Musjid, some nabaaligh children were allowed to be in I'tikaaf during the last ten days of Ramadhaan. They messed the carpets with toothpaste, etc. Neither the Imaam nor the trustees took any steps. Please comment. A. It is not permissible to allow nabaaligh children to sit in I'tikaaf in the Musjid. The trustees are liable for the sins of the Musjid being messed by the small children. They have failed in their obligation of trusteeship. Q. How is Zakaat calculated on one's monthly salary? A. Zakaat is paid annually, not monthly. It is not deducted from one's monthly salary. After 12 months Zakaat should be paid on the total cash, gold, silver, savings and stock-in-trade one has. Zakaat is not paid on monies which have been spent during the course of the year. Every person should have a Zakaat year which begins from the time one has the minimum amount called the Zakaat Nisaab. The Zakaat Nisaab is the price of 19.6 ounces of silver. This price could be ascertained from a jeweller at your end. Assuming that the Zakaat Nisaab is $400, then from the day you have $400 you will be a person of Nisaab. Now whether this amount decreases during the course of the next 12 months or not, you remain a man of Nisaab. After twelve months from the date you became Maalik -e-Nisaab (the owner of Nisaab), you have to add up all your cash, savings, gold and silver, deduct from this total the debts you owe, then pay 2.5% Zakaat on the balance. Q. If I make arrangements with my creditors to pay the debt in monthy instalments, can I go for Umrah? A. Even if one is not in debt, one should not go for Umrah in these days. From the day one leaves for Umrah until the day one returns, one is trapped in sin at almost every turn. It is not permissible to undertake a Nafl act of ibaadat when one has to commit numerous violations of the Shariah. Q. We are followers of the Maaliki Math-hab. One member of the family pays the Sadqah Fitr on behalf of the whole family from his own money although some of the others can afford to pay. Is this valid in the Maaliki Math-hab? A. According to the Maaliki Math-hab, the obligation of Sadqah Fitr is compulsory on the head of the family. He is liable for the Sadqah Fitr of all those of the family who are reliant on his support. Thus, a man has to pay the Sadqah Fitr for his wife, children, parents (if they are poor). Adult children who are by the means to pay their own Sadqah Fitr are not the responsibility of their father. They have to pay their own Sadqah Fitr. If one brother pays the Sadqah Fitr of his other brothers who can afford to pay, then this too will be permissible on condition that they are made aware of the payment prior to discharging it. Q. Does a Hanafi man have to pay Sadqah Fitr for his wife and children? A. According to the Hanafi Math -hab, a man is responsible to pay Sadqah Fitr for only himself and his minor children. Q. A man suffering from Aids and other diseases married a woman without revealing this. Days after the marriage, the wife discovered about his diseases and demands a divorce. But the husband refuses, Are their grounds for annulment? A. He has committed deception for not revealing his diseases to the woman. Such deception is haraam. The marriage may be annulled on the basis of deception. Q. Is it permissible to pay Sadqah Fitr during the month of Ramadhaan or does it have to be given only on the Day of Eid? A. It is permissible to give Sadqah Fitr during the month of Ramadhaan. It is not permissible to delay it until after the Eid Salaat. Nevertheless, if it was not given out by the time of Eid Salaat, then too, it has to be paid. Q. A shaikh says that if Sadqah Fitr is given in the beginning of Ramdhaan, then it has to be paid again on the night of Eid. Is this correct? A. Once it has been paid in Ramadhaan, it does not have to be paid again on Eid night. Your informer is a Salafi. Q. What should a fasting woman do if her haidh begins during the fast? A. If the fasting woman gets her haidh whilst fasting, it will be incumbent for her to break the fast by eating something. Q. What is the status of the ijtimaai dua upon making khatam of the Qur'aan Shareef? A. The ijtimaa'i (congregational) dua when making khatam of the Qur'aan Majeed is bid'ah. Q. Do prisoners also have to pay Sadqah Fitr and Zakaat? A. If a prisoner possesses the Zakaat Nisaab amount on the day of Eid then he has to pay Sadqah Fitr, and if after 12 months he still has the Nisaab amount or more, then he has to pay Zakaat of 2.5%. The Zakaat Nisaab is the value of 19.6 ounces (612 grams) silver. Q. I have seen a shaikh performing Salaat whilst looking in the Mushaf (a copy of the Qur'aan). Is this permissible? A. According to the Hanafi Math -hab which we follow, Salaat will not be valid if one recites by looking in the Mushaf. If you are a Hanafi, then you should not join the Salaat. In the Hambali Math-hab it is permissible. Q. I have 20 grams of gold, and no other Zakaat item, neither cash nor silver. However, the value of my gold is more than the silver Nisaab amount. Is Zakaat fardh on me? A. Since you have no other Zakaat assets besides the 20 gm gold, Zakaat is not incumbent on you even if the value of 20 gm gold is the equivalent of the silver Nisaab. Only if you have silver or cash, then you have to add the value of the gold to it and pay Zakaat. Q. Is it permissible to combine Zuhr and Asr, and Maghrib and Isha? This is becoming increasingly a trend. A. Combining two Salaat is permissible according to the Shaafi' Math-hab. Those who do not follow any Math-hab such as the deviant Salafis, also combine two Salaat. However, it is not permissible for Hanafis to combine two Salaat. It is not valid. The Salaat which is not performed in its valid time, is not valid. Q. I have read some of your articles on Zulfiqar Naqshabandi. Can I sit in his gatherings to listen to his bayaans or engage in thikr? A. Zulfiqar Ahmed is not a genuine Naqshabandi. His understanding of Taswwuf is practically zero. Stay away from him. Don't touch him with even a bargepole. Imaan and Akhlaaq are precious treasures which should be guarded from deviates. The 'tasawwuf' of today's so-called spiritual guides is a conglomeration of hocus pocusabracadabra stunts. For naseehat and self-reformation, daily read the kitaabs of the Auliya. Q. A deendaar man cuts his beard less than a fist length. Is he a faasiq? Should we make Salaam to him, and should we respond to his Salaam? A. A person who cuts his beard less than a fist length can never be genuinely 'deendaar' (pious). Undoubtedly he is a faasiq. Dissociation from a faasiq is incumbent. Nevertheless, one should not despise him. One should not initiate Salaam to a faasiq. If he makes Salaam, one may respond. In these times of massive ignorance, most people are not aware of the ahkaam. He will not know why one is not responding to his Salaam. If he is indeed 'deendaar' as you believe, then politely inform him of his act of fisq. Perhaps he is truly ignorant of the mas'alah. Q. Why is interest haraam? A. The issue of 'why' is an unfathomable mystery. Its maze of labyrinthal pathways is a never-ending confusion of intractability. Interest is haraam because Allah Ta'ala has made it haraam. Q. The Moulana at our Musjid allows a young boy, albeit baaligh, to lead the Fardh Salaat while there are adult Huffaaz and Moulanas present. Is this proper? The Moulana sees nothing wrong with it. A. There is much wrong with it. It is improper to allow a child even if he is baaligh, to lead the Fardh Salaat when there are adult Huffaaz and Aalims in the Jamaat. This is a sign of Qiyaamah. Notwithstanding the validity of the Salaat behind a baaligh child, the Shariah requires that an elderly person of knowledge be the Imaam. Q. Is it permissible to forego Sunnatul Muakkadah Salaat if there is little time available? A. 'Little time' in the context is ambiguous. Abandoning Sunnatul Muakkadah Salaat is sinful and punishable. In most cases 'little time' is a nafsaani hallucination. There is ample time for all types of nonsense and futility, but for ibaadat the nafs and shaitaan present many hallucinations. Q. I have read in The Majlis that nose-rings for women are not permissible. But the Darul Ifta of Deoband says that it is permissible? A. Just as you have written to us, so do query with the Darul Ifta. Tell them that The Majlis in South Africa says that it is haraam for women to wear nose-rings which they do in imitation of western kuffaar women. It is not permissible for Muslim women to wear nose rings which are the fashion of the kuffaar. The Darul Ifta has erred in its fatwa of permissibility. They have failed to understand that in the west Muslim women are adopting this practice in emulation of kuffaar women. Permissible practices of women in India's villages are not a basis for issuing a fatwa of universal application. Furthermore, we are aware of bulls wearing nose-rings, not human beings. Q. What is the alternative for a microwave? A. The normal electric stove. Microwave is a disaster for health. In the long term people will regret when they begin to suffer from cancer and other diseases as a consequence of using microwave. Q. While making tilaawat of the Qur'aan Shareef if one sneezes, should the Masnoon Hamd be recited? A. Yes, it should be recited even whilst making Tilaawat. Q. My brother is a faasiq. He is not concerned with Hijaab. Can I go with him on a journey? A. A faasiq relative is not a valid mahram. Your brother is not a valid mahram for you on a journey. Q. Is it true that the Rooh is aware of a relative who visits his / her grave and makes dua? It is said that the Rooh also answers A. Whether the Rooh answers its close relatives who visit the Qabr is unknown. Allah knows best. There is no teaching in the Shariah to confirm this. But the deceased is aware of the visits of his / her relatives / friends. Q. Is it permissible for a woman to go to the cemetery to make dua if there is no one present? A. It is not permissible for women to go to the Qabrustaan. They should make Dua from their homes. The benefits of the Duas will reach the deceased. Even if no one is in the qabrustaan, women are not allowed to go there. Similarly, it is not permissible for them to go to the Musjid, Eidgah or to any public place. Q. Is ozonated water permissible? A. Ozonated water it appears has both advantages and disadvantages as everything in this dunya has. The Qur'aan states explicitly that wine and gambling have 'many' benefits, but their harm is more than their benefits, hence we have to abstain. From the list of serious disadvantages predicated to ozonated water, it is, to say the least, highly unintelligent to drink it. The risk of harm and damage to the body can be great. And Allah knows best. Furthermore, Allah Ta'ala has created water with 2 atoms of oxygen. To interfere and add another atom appears to us as an interference in a natural healthy product prepared for us by Allah Ta'ala. Q. A woman has to leave Makkah without making Umrah. What should she do about the Umrah? A. If circumstances compel the woman to leave Makkah without having made Umrah, then it is necessary to come out of Ihraam by means of Thabah. One sheep/ goat has to be compulsorily slaughtered in the Haram. After the Thabah, she will be out of Ihraam. Then it is Waajib for her to make Qadha of the Umrah. This she may do at any time. Q. If a person dies on a Friday or during Ramadhaan, does it mean that he was a pious man? A. Death of a Muslim in Ramadhaan or an a Friday does not signify piety. However, it does signify forgiveness – that Allah Ta'ala has forgiven him. Q. A Maulana says that deleting the Durood and Dua in Qa'dah of Taraaweeh Salaat is substantiated on the basis of Beheshti Zewer. Is this correct? A. Indeed, the baseless 'fatwa' has been acquired by some haraam thumb-sucking. There is nothing in Beheshti Zewer to condone the haraam act of wholesale deletion of the Masnoon half minute Durood and Dua. The aalim sahib should go back to Madrasah and re-do his course of studies diligently and cultivate Taqwa in order to understand what exactly is thumb -sucking which most of these new molvis are experts in. It is not permissible to delete the Durood and Dua. It is pure nafsaaniyat. Q. In the Haram Shareef of Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah one can tune into a FM Station on the radio to listen to the Jumuah Khutbah in one of the few languages, e.g. English, Urdu, etc., simultaneously while the Khutbah is being recited. Is this permissible? A. It is not permissible to listen to the Khutbah in another language simultaneously while the Khutbah is in progress. The new, bid'ah system which they have introduced in the Haram Shareef is haraam. Q. If Tawaaf is made after Asr, when should the two raka'ts of Tawaaf be performed? A. If Tawaaf is made after Asr, then the two raka'ts should be made after the Maghrib Fardh Salaat, not before Maghrib Salaat. Q. I am Soon going for Hajj. How should I prepare myself for Hajj? A. A Muslim is required to be in a state of preparation every day of his life, not only prior to leaving for Hajj. The Qabr calls on us five times daily: "Beware! I am an abode of darkness! I am an abode of solitude! I am an abode of worms/torment! I am an abode of sand!, etc." Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) further said that the most intelligent person is he who makes preparations for the stay in the Qabr. It is therefore, Waajib to remain in constant obedience, ibaadat and Thikrullah at all times. Abstain from sin and futility and reflect on the shortness and futility of this world, and the everlasting nature and reality of the Aakhirah. Q. The business I intend to buy has a lotto machine which cannot be removed. It has to be operated. Can I use the money to pay my bond interest? A. It is not permissible to operate the gambling machine. The income is haraam, and it is not permissible to use it to pay even one's haraam bond interest. Do not contemplate buying this haraam business. Your Rizq has already been ordained by Allah Ta'ala. Q. My deceased husband has no Muslim relatives. I am the only Muslim. How should his assets be distributed? A. Since your husband had no Muslim relatives, you are the sole heir. All his items belong to you. Q. A person takes the flight from Jeddah at Fajr time. Fajr is performed in Jeddah. The plane overlies a country where it is Zuhr, and it over-flies another country where it is Asr. The person lands at New York just before Zuhr. Someone says that this person should make qadha of Zuhr and Asr. Is this correct? A. No, it is not correct. In New York, he should perform Zuhr. Q. Is it true that there are some difference in Aqeedah between Deoband and Jalalabad? A. It is a blatant falsehood. There is not the slightest difference in Aqeedah of the Ulama of Deoband and the Ulama of Jalalabad. Perhaps some juhala have misinformed you. The marhoom principal of Jalalabad, Hadhrat Masihullah (Rahmatullah alayh), and his Shaikh, Hadhrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (Rahmatullah alayh) were products of Deoband Darul Uloom. Q. During Ihraam, I had covered my face for about an hour. What is the kaffaarah for this? A. The penalty for covering the face for less than a day is the Sadqah Fitr amount. Q. What is the status of making Dua after every Fardh Salaat? A. Making Dua after every Fardh Salaat is Sunnat. However, the loud congregational dua is bid'ah. You should make your own dua silently. There is no need to begin and finish with the Imaam. Q. On Eid days, the Imaam makes a dua after the Khutbah. I have been told that it is bid'ah. Can I walk out while this congregational dua is being made? A. On Eid day, if the Dua is after the Salaat, then its the same ruling as in the above answer. If it is after the Khutbah, then it is bid'ah. Do not participate in it. You may walk out. Q. Whilst making Tawaaf, I did not make Istilaam of Hajr Aswad in every shaut. Is there a penalty? Is my Tawaaf valid? A. The Tawaaf is valid even if the Istilaam was not made. There is no penalty for this omission. Q. Does an illegitimate daughter inherit in the estate of her biological father? A. She does not inherit in his estate. She inherits in her mother's estate. Q. A man said that he had given his house to his son. After his demise, a dispute developed with the other heirs who claim that the gift was not valid because the father had full control of the house. He lived in the house, paid the rates, etc. The son had no control over the house. What is the ruling? A. For Hibah to be valid, niyyat and statement are not sufficient. There must also be qabdhah (possession). Regardless of sincerity of intention, if the asset is not physically handed over to the person, the hibah will not be valid. In this case, the house belongs to all the heirs. Q. Some years ago a man gave his wife two Talaaqs. He has now again given her a Talaaq. What is the state of their marriage? If the Nikah has been dissolved, from what day does her Iddat commence? Can she pass her Iddat at her parents' home? Someone says that after the third Talaaq it is not necessary to remain in the marital home for the Iddat. The ex-husband cannot afford maintenance. What should the lady do? A. The marriage has finally and irrevocably ended. The earlier two Raj'i Talaaqs plus the current Talaaq have finally and irrevocably terminated the Nikah. Iddat commenced from the day he issued the third Talaaq. It is haraam for the lady to leave the home during her Iddat. The information given to her is baseless. Even after the third Talaaq, the Iddat remains the same. Maintenance during the Iddat period is Waajib on the husband. The maintenance consists of her normal living expenses on the same level as was provided to her during the subsistence of the marriage. If the husband is unable to afford maintenance, the obligation will devolve on her father, then brothers, paternal uncles, and the male relatives on her father's side. According to the Hadith of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam), in the era in close proximity with Qiyaamah, there will emerge real shayaateen (devils) who will mingle with the people and recite the Qur'aan Majeed in the Musaajid. Without detracting from the literal meaning of these Ahaadith which will most assuredly happen, a figurative connotation is that all of these shayaateeni radios such as Radio Shaitaan, Channel Shaitaan, etc., come within the purview of these narrations as well. These devil radios broadcast even Qiraa't recitals. They are also such shayaateen who recite the Qur'aan as predicted by Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam). Q. Is it permissible to consume the herb ibogaine for recovery from ailments such as using anti-depressants, and for a general experience of the effects of the herb to give a subconscious perception of good and evil? It is not an intoxicant or addictive, yet it psychologically puts a person in a dreamlike state. They do not derive 'pleasure' in this state of mind and consciousness of right and wrong is still present. This medicine is extracted from the iboga plant which grows in West Africa. Once the person consumes the herb/medicine they go into a dreamlike state and experience aspects of spirituality from their subconscious mind, such as: - - Criteria between Halaal and haram if the person is Muslim. - Differences between the forces of good and evil - Perceiving the true nature of evil acts and the hidden incitement behind them - True Islamic spirituality (if the person is Muslim) such the efforts of the respectful Ulama and the Masha'ikh etc. - Introspection regarding one's life and self. Q. We know that many Ulema backed out from the Nkandla event. Why do you state that the Jamiat KZN took part in this event though they backed out? Please clarify for me. A. First furnish your evidence for the Jamiat KZN having backed out, then we shall comment in greater detail, Insha-Allah. Why do you say that the Jamiat KZN had backed out? Q. Is a student's loan Mudhaarabah? Some Ulama in Europe and the U.K. have issued a fatwa saying that loans which students acquire from banks for paying for tuition fees are permissible. They say that such loans are Mudhaarabah. How can a bank loan with interest be a Mudhaarabah? A. The 'fatwa' is hogwash and flotsam. A bank loan or a loan by any one is never Mudhaarabah. Mudhaarabah is a trading partnership in which profit is shared between the partners. We have published a booklet in refutation of the bunkum 'fatwa' of the modernists deviates. The booklet, An Obnoxious Fatwa is available on our website. The incremental satanic process of modernization and westernization in Saudi Arabia by its western/ American educated bootlicking 'intellegentsia' has set the country firmly on the path of de-Islamization. The increasing haraam participation of women in the public domain, the abrogation of the powers of the Amr Bil Ma'roof department, the westernization of the life style in general, the haraam intermingling of sexes, the conversion of the Holy Cities into western style holiday resorts, etc., etc., are the ingredients for a fully fledged kufr state – a state which will see no need to camouflage its kufr, fisq and fujoor with any type of Islamic guise. What is transpiring in Saudi Arabia is the effect of bootlicking the American master. Thousands of Saudis, males and females, are nourished with kufr, fisq and fujoor in western universities. These juhala, fussaaq and fujjaar will all be at the helm of government tomorrow in Saudi Arabia. There can therefore be no conundrum regarding the consequences of a regime in the hands of these western-educated juhala who will have only a slight relationship with Islam. The latest Shar'i casualty enacted by the Fussaaq Saudi authorities is the abrogation of the Shariah's fourteen century marriage system in which a woman grants her consent of marriage to her Wali (father, brother, uncle, or any other male representative) who contracts the marriage on her behalf. It is now reported that the fussaaq Saudi authorities have legislated that it will henceforth be obligatory for the prospective groom himself to physically hear the bride giving her permission. This mutilation of the Shariah is obviously at the behest of the American masters who are imposing their cult of women's rights on the Saudi bootlickers. In terms of all Four Math-habs of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah, there is absolutely no obligation for the groom to hear the bride granting consent. In fact, the groom is never present when permission is acquired by her Wali / Guardian / Representative. Usually the consent is witnessed by two males. The process of the erosion of the Shariah is on the advance in Saudi Arabia which will soon become a fully-fledged Dajjaal state. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Allah will split up the affairs (i.e. make it difficult) of a person whose focus is the dunya. He (Allah) will place in front of him his poverty, and only that which Allah has ordained for him will reach him. He whose focus is the Aakhirah, Allah will simplify for him his affairs and instil wealth in his heart, and the dunya will come to him in humiliation." The focus of most of the wealthy people is always the dunya, yet they are not saddled with poverty. On the contrary, their wealth continues to multiply. They go on hoarding and hoarding until they see Malakul Maut standing in front of them. So what is the meaning of 'poverty' mentioned in this Hadith? Poverty signifies need. A poor man is always in need, hence he continues labouring to make ends meet. This same tendency exists in the billionaires. They are never satisfied. In fact, the more wealth they have, the greater becomes their greed and desire for more wealth. In this regard, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The son of Aadam grows older by the day while two tendencies in him grow younger: his greed for wealth, and his desire for longer life." But both these desires are denied. He will not attain them. Thus, the man of worldly wealth is in reality afflicted with the malady of poverty of the heart. He is never contented. He is always restless and fearful of the depletion/loss of his wealth or of worldly calamities. The comfort and happiness he ostensibly enjoys bring him no peace of mind. He suffers under a mountain of worries of a variety of sorts. On the other hand, a man whose focus is on the Aakhirah, is always contented. Allah has bestowed to him the wealth of contentment and independence. He does not hanker after the dunya. His heart brims with wealth. His worldly needs are seen to comfortably by Allah Ta'ala. The world and the people of the dunya come to him in humiliation. And this is the state of the Auliya of Allah Ta'ala. "A Shaikh who is farsighted is able to discern whether your action is the effect of nafsaani desire or for obeying the Sunnat. The sign of the heart being spiritually barren and ruined is: ♦ Pleasure in delivering lectures ♦ Trapped in relationships other than the bond with Allah Ta'ala ♦ Bereft of solitude ♦ Experience no pleasure in Salaat ♦ Ever ready to participate in jalsahs (functions of a variety of kinds) and lectures. This is the sign of a ruined heart." (Hadhrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi –Rahmatullah alayh) In this Malfooth Hadhrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (Rahmatullah alayh) has adequately illustrated the moral and spiritual corruption of the facebook molvis and sheikhs. They are always in search of the public limelight for the attainment of their motives of self-aggrandizement – name, fame and also money. They never tire of appearing on public stages using Islam as their vehicle for riya, takabbur and their objective of hubb-e-jaah. In fact, they are night and day in search of stages and functions to exhibit themselves and to dance to the gallery. Every haraam activity, every act of fisq and fujoor contaminating the function/jalsah is embraced by them. They further justify the commission of haraam, fisq and fujoor with their corrupt arguments of satanic 'hikmat' ('wisdom') and nafsaani diplomacy. They are absolutely barren – morally and spiritually. There are no greater scoundrels than these shaitaani facebook molvis and sheikhs who plunder the morality of the ignorant. They are the "rubbish" mentioned in the following Hadith of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam): "The Saalihoon (the truly pious Ulama) will depart one after the other (in quick succession). Then there will remain only 'ghutha' (rubbish) like the chaff of dates or wheat. Allah will have no care whatsoever for them." They are the fuel of Jahannam. Hadhrat Hasan Basri (rahmatullah alayh), addressing a group of people, said: "I take oath by Allah! One day I passed by a very pious lady who was supplicating to Allah Ta'ala. She was expressing her love to Him. While she was absorbed in her supplication, her little son whose name was Zaigham appeared on the scene. The mother said to her child: "O Zaigham! What do you think about yourself and me. Will I be able to see you on the Day of Resurrection or will there be a barrier between us." Hadhrat Hasan Basri continuing with his story said: "When the child heard this, he let out a piercing scream and fell down. I thought that he had died. The mother began crying and I was overwhelmed with grief and I shed tears. When the child recovered, his mother said: "O Zaigham! He responded: 'Yes. Mother." Mother: 'Do you love Maut (death)?" Child: "Yes, mother, I do." Mother: "My beloved baby! Why?" Child: "So that I return unto Him Who is more caring than you. He is the Most Merciful. What! Have you not heard that Allah Azza Wa Jal saying (in the Qur'aan): "Inform My servants: 'Verily I am Most Forgiving, Most Merciful." "Verily, My punishment is a painful punishment." Continuing the story, Hadhrat Hasan Basri said: "Then the child began crying profusely. While he was wailing, he said: 'If tomorrow I am not saved from Allah's punishment, then there is nothing but destruction.' He continued crying until he collapsed on to the ground. His mother went to him and when she touched him, she discovered that his soul had already departed. The mother began to cry. Whilst crying she exclaimed: 'O Zaigham! You were killed by the Love of Allah Ta'ala.' Suddenly she let out a piercing scream and collapsed to the ground. I went forward to examine her. She too had died. She too was killed by the Love of Allah Ta'ala. May Allah Ta'ala have mercy on the child and his mother, and by their virtue may He have mercy on us." AN AMAANAT Health is a wonderful Amaanat (Trust) bestowed to us by Allah Ta'ala. Abuse of this Amaanat is khiyaanat and ingratitude which is the attribute of shaitaan. It is Waajib to safeguard this Amaanat. On the Day of Qiyaamah a reckoning will be demanded regarding the Amaanat of Health. By way of physical and spiritual indiscretion, people ruin their health. The first consequence is the earthly punishment in the form of almost incurable diseases. The Amaanat of Health can be protected only by observance of the phsyical and spiritual remedies and limits prescribed by Allah Ta'ala. These remedies comprise of halaal tayyib food consumed as advised in the Ahaadith, and of Ibaadat and Ta -aat (Obedience) which necessarily emphasize total abstention from sin and futility. Our Mashaaikh say: "The stomach is the home of every disease." The following is a remedy for constipation which is the root cause of most diseases: "Make sure your diet has enough roughage from wholewheat that is preferably stoneground. Two tablespoonsful of blackstrap molasses in warm water shifts most people's problems without strain. Yogurt is also to be recommended, but make sure that it is free from synthetic colours and flavourings. The following can be used individually, or together: • Spinach 16 fl. ounces (450 ml) • Carrot 10 fl. oz. (275 ml); spinach 6 fl. oz (175 mil) • Carrot 8 fl. Oz. (225 ml); apple 10 fl. oz (275 ml) • Potato 12 fl. oz. (350 ml)" (The Complete Raw Juice Therapy) Destructive foods which completely ruin the health in the long term resulting in diseases such as cancer, diabetes, heart problems, liver problems and kidney problems, etc. should be avoided like poison. When organ failure develops as a result of years of poison ingestion, it is then too late for remedial measures. All things made from white flour, commercial bread even if from brown flour, all processed foods, all processed juices even 'pure' fruit juices, white rice, sweets, chocolates, even home made deserts, samoosas, pies and the like should be avoided if you value your health and wish to be saved from the disasters of self-invited diseases. It is of utmost importance to totally abstain from broiler chickens and their eggs. Even if a broiler chicken is slaughtered properly observing all the rules of Thabah, then too abstain from these diseased chickens. The carrion chickens which scoundrels halaalize are the worst muck, filth and poisons which man has invented in the history of mankind. There is no single 'food' which is so destructive to the health as carrion chickens. Switch to a diet of vegetables, fruit, fresh fruit juice, nuts, wholemeal bread (made at home), oatmeal, honey and fish. By no means is it suggested that one should become a vegetarian. Meat is one of the bounties of Allah Ta'ala. But excessive indulgence in meat as is the practice of our people, is also destructive for the health. The other problem related to meat is that almost all meat commercially available is haraam. There is therefore an imperative reason for abstention. If the meat is 100% halaal, then too, consume it occasionally. The immediate benefit of a vegetable diet within days, will be relief from constipation. Fast foods and take-aways are practically 'haraam' even if all the ingredients are halaal. The damage which habitual consumption of these junk 'foods' cause is irreparable. Health is an Amaanat (Trust) for which an account will be demanded in the Aakhirat. Natural fruit juice – fresh fruit juice extracted at home—is loaded with health properties. However, it should be understood that the excessive consumption of even fresh fruit juice is harmful. If a Hakeem or a Naturopath prescribe an abundance of certain fruit juices, the prescription is a remedy for a specific ailment or disease. It is thus taken as a medicine and will be very beneficial. Occasionally consuming extracted fruit juice while beneficial, is not to be taken in abundance and on a daily basis. Yes, the fruit itself should be consumed daily. Allah Ta'ala has created fruit to be consumed with its juice blended wondrously in the best combination with the other constituents in the fruit. The fruit is not meant for juice extraction and for discardence of the pulp. Therefore, the whole fruit should be consumed. The health properties are to be found in the whole fruit blended and combined most wisely and in the form by Allah, The Wise, The Merciful Who has created our bodies and souls, and Who knows what is best for our physical and spiritual health. FASTING the Month of Ramadhaan is a wonderful spiritual and physical remedy. Allah Ta'ala is the Creator of the Rooh (Soul) and the physical body, and He has designed all practices of Ibaadat for the welfare and development of both the soul and the body. Although the intention underlying Fasting is only to gain Allah's Pleasure by fulfilling His Command, the Fasting comes with many health benefits. An expert non-Muslim naturopath observed that the Islamic practice of Fasting a month is a wonderful health benefit, however, Muslims nullify the beneficial effects of the Fasting when they break their fast in the evening. They go overboard in reckless gluttony. This gluttony commences immediately at Iftaar. Instead of heeding Rasulullah's advice and command of breaking the fast frugally, Muslims nowadays indulge in nauseating gluttony. The gluttony begins with the commencement of the Athaan. Elaborate meals are spread out in the Musaajid for anti-Sunnah and physically and spiritually ruinous feasting. The holy moments of Iftaar are treated as an occasion of haraam merrymaking. The fasting ones devour to the point of satiation or even more. Then generally they leave their mess on the Musjid carpets. After Maghrib Salaat, they rush home for the 'primary' and main meal. It boggles the mind to fathom how they manage to locate space in their bellies for the deluge of the harmful foods they ingest after Maghrib. Then after Taraaweeh, commences another round of feasting with deserts, etc. A human being should utilize his intelligence to understand the physical and spiritual villainy perpetrated to the body and soul by such reckless gluttony unknown to even dogs and the beasts in the jungle. The inevitable consequence of this style of horrible, nauseating gluttony is the ultimate breakdown of the physical body which becomes afflicted with many diseases, and the utter ruin of the Muslim's spiritual fibre. In the wake of this self-destruction the evil nafs becomes bloated and remains in full control of the intelligence. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) ordered us to make iftaar with only dates and/or water. This exhortation is for practical implementation and has been designed by Allah Ta'ala for our all-round welfare. Maintaining good family ties (Silah Rahmi) is a Waajib obligation of the greatest significance. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Silah (The Family Bond) clings to the Arsh (of Allah), and it proclaims: 'Whoever joins me (maintains me), Allah will maintain him, and whoever cuts me asunder (destroys me), Allah will cut him asunder." Explaining the concept of Silah Rahmi, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said that maintaining family ties is to "be kind to a relative who is unkind to you." This sums up the Islamic concept of Family Ties. Maintaining good family ties does not mean joining the family in haraam and in activities which are in violation of the Shariah such as haraam wedding and bid'ah functions. The unkindness and the inconveniences caused by family members should be borne and tolerated. On the auspicious Nights when Allah's Mercy embraces all Muslims, those family members who are not on speaking terms and who harbour mutual animosity are excluded and not forgiven. Rupturing family ties for worldly and nafsaani reasons also depletes the barkat in Rizq. Rasulullah ( S a l l a l l a h u a l a y h i wasallam) said: "Whoever desires barkat in his Rizq, should observe family ties." In the aftermath of the failed Gulenist coup in Turkey, the sinister role of the Gulenist schools (so-called islamic schools)and temples (so-called mosques) has come to the fore. The Erdogan government has dismissed about 12,000 Gulenist school teachers in Turkey and innumerable such schools have been closed. The move of eliminating all Gulenist schools in Turkey is continuing. In fact, Turkey is attempting to have these sinister schools of Gulen closed down in some other countries too. The Majlis, in several articles, over a decade has warned the Muslim community of the evil of these Turkish Gulenist schools which are today existing in all cities of South Africa. We have also warned Muslims repeatedly about the Gulenist temple in Midrand, the so-called 'Nizamiye Mosque. Now that Erdogan has instituted action to root out the Gulenist 'virus', it is hoped that the eyes of the Muslim community have opened up to the sinister reality of these Turkish schools in our midst. Muslims of South Africa are pleased with the failure of the Gulenist coup, and they are sending messages of congratulations to Erdogan. It is also logical and necessary that Muslims in South Africa distance themselves from these Gulenist schools and from the Midrand Gulenist Temple. The Gulenist Temple's caretakers are at pains to dissociate themselves from the Gulenist coup in Turkey. Even Mr.Gulen who has been granted asylum by the U.S.A., is ostensibly dissociating from and condemning the failed coup. Nevertheless, Erdogan is demanding his extradition. The Gulenist 'islamic' schools are teaching an interfaith brand of 'islam' which embraces the doctrines of the kufr intefaith movement and which breeds zombi, bootlicking 'sheikhs' who become the agents of the C.I.A. which is funding all the Gulenist schools world-wide. It is not permissible for Muslims to send their children to these Gulenist schools. It is not permissible to financially or in any other way support or aid these haraam Turkish Gulenist schools. Muslims should remove their children from these schools. "Most of us (i.e. in India) know about the health benefits of guava fruit. But we are unaware of the fact that even guava leaves have several medicinal properties and offer an array of health benefits. Being packed with antioxidants, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agents and beneficial tannins, fresh guava leaves are considered as a natural pain reliever. The chemicals contained in these leaves such as polyphenols, carotenoids, flavonoids and tannins can be extremely effective in treating various diseases Owing to the side effects resulting from the usage of medicines and drugs, herbal plants are being increasingly considered for the treatment of various diseases and guava leaf is one of them. Due to its medicinal properties, guava leaf supplements are nowadays available in the form of capsules and guava leaf tea. Guava Leaves Benefits For Health Guava leaves are regarded as herbal treatment for several diseases due to their medicinal properties. The health benefits of guava leaves are given below. 1. Aid in Weight Loss: Guava leaves aid in weight loss by preventing the complex starches from being converted into sugars. For this purpose, the carbs must be broken down in the liver for use by the body, and guava leaves prevent the transition of carbohydrates to usable compounds. 2. Beneficial for Diabetics: According to research conducted by the Yakult Central Institute in Japan, guava leaf tea can effectively lower blood glucose in diabetics by reducing the alpha-glucosidease enzyme activity. Moreover, it prevents the absorption of sucrose and maltose by the body, thereby lowering blood sugar levels. Drinking guava leaf tea for 12 weeks lowers the blood sugar levels without increasing insulin production. 3. Lower Cholesterol: Research has proved that drinking guava leaf tea for 3 months can lead to reduction in LDL or bad cholesterol and triglycerides without any adverse effect on good cholesterol. Besides, the guava leaves are a great liver tonic. 4. Treatment of Diarrhea and Dysentery: Guava leaves are herbal remedy for diarrhea and dysentery. For treating diarrhea, boil 30 grams of guava leaves with a handful of rice flour in 1-2 glasses of water and drink this potion twice a day. In case of dysentery, cut the roots and leaves of guava plant and boil them for 20 minutes at a temperature of 90 degrees Celsius. Strain the water and drink in moderation until relieved. 5. Aids in Digestion: Guava leaf tea aids in digestion by stimulating digestive enzyme production. The powerful antibacterial agents kill bacteria in the lining of the gut and stop proliferation of toxic enzymes by bacteria. Guava leaves are particularly beneficial in case of food poisoning as well as soothing, vomiting and nausea. To relieve stomach ache, boil 8 pieces of guava leaves in 1.5 litres of water and drink thrice a day. 6. Treatment of Bronchitis: Guava leaf tea is effective in treating bronchitis by opening up the lungs, loosening mucus and soothing coughs. 7. Treatment of Toothaches, Sore Throats and Gum Disease: Due to their anti-inflammatory qualities, fresh guava leaves can relieve tooth ache, heal gum and mouth sores and treat sore throats when used for gargling. The antibacterial agent in these leaves protect the teeth and gums and therefore, guava leaves are used as an ingredient in toothpastes and mouth fresheners. What is the Shariah status of a Muslim who claims that a Christian woman who lived all her life as a Christian and was buried as a Christian, is in heaven. His basis for this view is that she had devoted her life to humanitarian work. He even paid tribute to her soul by singing high praises for her. He says that Allah Ta'ala forgives by His Mercy. A. The claim that people will be going to Jannat solely on the basis of Allah's mercy, while partially correct, is confined to Muslims – to those who die with Imaan. The mercy of Allah Ta'ala, according to Islam, is not for even the most humanitarian kaafir who dies with kufr – without Imaan. It was therefore highly improper, un-Islamic and not permissible for a Muslim to sing praise in tribute of a dead kaafir woman. This act alone is sufficient to severely condemn the singer of the tribute. Allah Ta'ala says in the Qur'aan Majeed: "Do not say any prayer on any of them (kuffaar) who has died, and do not even stand at his (i.e. kaafir's) graveside, for verily he has died in the state of kufr against Allah and His Rasool." Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "When a faasiq is praised, the Arsh of Allah shudders." "He who honours a person of bid'ah aids in the destruction of Islam." To praise and honour a kaafir woman, especially a dead one, is a capital sin in terms of the Shariah. He should feel ashamed of himself for singing the praise of a dead kaafirah. For whose ears are his praises intended? The one who had sung the praises of the kaafir woman has indeed committed a terrible sin akin to kufr. He should repent – make Taubah. The view that a non-Muslim can enter Jannat on the basis of good deeds, is kufr. The pivot of Najaat (Salvation) is Imaan, not good deeds. Many deviant Muslims nowadays are trapped in this belief of kufr. The one who holds this kujfr belief has become a murtad. He has to repent and renew his Imaan. The ILM (Knowledge) of the Deen becomes incrementally eroded and eliminated with the passage of time. The closer the approach of Qiyaamah, the more will the Ilm of the Deen as well as Taqwa (Genuine piety) disappear. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Allah will not snatch away Ilm from (the hearts) of (His) servants. But, He will snatch away Ilm by taking away the (true) Ulama." The world will become increasingly barren of Ulama-e-Haqq. When a true Aalim departs, there will be no replacement. This is what we are witnessing in this era in close proximity to Qiyaamah. This is the age of the preponderance of the ulama-e-soo' who mangle and mutilate the Deen of Allah Ta'ala. Regarding the departure from this dunya of the Men of Taqwa, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The Saalihoon will depart in (quick) succession. Then there will remain only hufaalah (muck) such as the chaff of dates or wheat. Allah will not have any care whatsoever for them." In another Hadith, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Verily, Allah will not snatch away Ilm from (the hearts) of people. But He will snatch away Ilm by taking away the Ulama (the Ulama-e-Haqq). Then when He does not leave any Aalim (of Haqq), the people will take juhala (ignoramuses) as their leaders (in Deen). They will ask (fatwas from them), and they (the juhala) will issue fatwas without knowledge. They will be astray and mislead (others)." This is the scenario prevailing today. (By Hadhrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi) "Imaam Ghazaali (Rahmatullah alayh) explained that a cause for soo'-e-khaatimah (an evil death – a death without Imaan), is to attribute Qat'iyyat (Absolute Certitude) to Uloom-e-Zanniyah. (Uloom Zanniyah are masaa-il based on opinion or such evidences which lack Qat'iyyat. The possibility of error is not precluded. –The Majlis). Some people ascribe absolute certitude to issues which lack Qat'iyyat. At the time of Maut, their error is revealed. Shaitaan appearing at this critical juncture engages them in logical argument. He says to them: "Just as this belief which has now been established to be erroneous, so too, is it perhaps with Tauheed and Risaalat." Trapped in this satanic ploy, the person loses his Imaan. (May Allah Ta'ala keep us steadfast on Imaan until the very last moment of life, and may He save us from the ploys of shaitaan. –The Majlis) Many Sufiya and Ulama suffer from this malady. These Ulama accord Qat'iyyat to their views and opinions which are Zanniyaat. Some Sufis attribute Qat'iyyat to their kashf and ilhaam (inspirations), believing these to be absolutely certain in correctness. (They assign it to the Mansoos category). Their mureeds progress further in this error by assigning Qat'iyyat to the dreams of their Shaikhs." (End of Hadhrat Thanvi's Malfooth) Qat'iyyat (Absolute Certitude) applies to only Mansoos ahkaam, i.e. such rules, laws, etc. substantiated by clear text of the Qur'aan or Hadith. A fatwa formulated on the basis of the principles of the Shariah belong to the realm of Zanniyaat. Regardless of the 'correctness' and 'certitude' one may have on such issues, the element of doubt remains. "....Verily, the (physical) eyes are not blind, but the hearts within the breasts are blind. And they seek with haste from you (O Muhammad!) the punishment. (Let them know) that Allah never violates His promise (of Athaab)." (Qur'aan) Hadhrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (Rahmatullah alayh) said: "The eyes are a special Ni'mat (Bounty) of Allah Ta'ala. The eyes which hope to see the Vision of Allah Ta'ala should never be utilized to look at things which have been prohibited. Those who do not use their eyes correctly are in fact blind. Those who have eyes, should be grateful to Allah Ta'ala." True blindness is the blindness of the heart – spiritual blindness. The worst of spiritual blindness is kufr. Misusing the Ni'mat of the eyes to look at haraam is also a grave disease of spiritual blindness. Allah Ta'ala has bestowed to us the wonderful Ni'mat of physical eyes to utilize correctly and gratefully. The physical eyes should never be misused to look at prohibitions. The effect of ingratitude is spiritual blindness as well as athaab in different forms in this world and in the Aakhirah. Giving naseehat to Hadhrat Muhammad Bin Raafi' (rahmatullah alayh), a young buzrug in the wilderness said: Young man: "I have tested all acts of ibaadat. The best and most beneficial is to remain aloof from people. If the heart is divided into ten sections, then know that nine parts are related to people, and one part to the world (in general). Therefore, he who has acquired the ability to stay in seclusion, has gained control of nine tenths of his heart." Muhammad: "So saying, he abruptly left me and disappeared. I never again saw him." Hadhrat Zainul Aaabideen (rahmatullah alayh) said: * It surprises me to observe a man displaying pride while only yesterday he was a contemptible sperm drop, and tomorrow he will become impure carrion (in the grave). * I am stunned with astonishment at a man who strives for the abode which will perish (i.e. for this worldly life) while he abandons the endeavour for the everlasting abode of tomorrow (i.e. Jannat). PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY Grave diseases such as cancer, heart problems, diabetes, multiple organ failure, etc. have acquired epidemic proportions in the Muslim community. We are not concerned with the greater physical disaster to the health of non-Muslims, for they are a different breed or species, apart from Muslims. Never before have Muslims been afflicted with such a deluge of serious physical diseases as are being witnessed in this era. Just a few decades ago, never would one find a chair in the Musjid. Today, there are even rows of chairs. Aged musallis of 70 years and more, all stood during Salaat, including Taraaweeh. During our young days we never saw in our Musaajid any old man even sitting on the ground to perform Salaat. Yet, they were generally people of ignorance and illiterate in worldly terms. Despite their ignorance, they generally had lofty morals and lived a healthy cultural life. Suddenly a great revolution has occurred in both the physical and spiritual healths' of the Ummah, especially the affluent sector – the western-educated 'intelligentsia' and the upper wealthy class. Although the upper strata of Muslim society is vastly afflicted by the havoc of physical and spiritual diseases, the other classes of Muslim society have also become entrapped in these spiritual and physical disasters spawned by the evil lifestyle acquired from the West. The two primary causes for the moral and physical disasters which have overtaken and ruined Muslims are the television / internet, carrion and processed muck 'food'. For Muslims there is a strong correlation between the physical and spiritual domains of life. By virtue of this natural nexus, the consequence of spiritual disease in addition to its sequel in the Aakhirah, is also physical disease and suffering. When bodily organs, e.g. the eyes, and hands, are misused for haraam, then in addition to the athaab in store in the Aakhirat, there is a physical consequence in the form of disease, calamity, etc. in proportion to the gravity of the sin of ingratitude. Misuse of the bounties of the physical limbs and organs is ingratitude towards Allah Azza Wa Jal Who has created us and our limbs and organs for His obedience. When the eye is misused for viewing haraam, whether it be the haraam of viewing a ghair mahram or television or the internet filth, the eyes, mind and heart will deteriorate not only spiritually, but also physically. Innumerable males indulge in the unnatural and abominable perversion of masturbation. This spawns weak eyesight, intellectual retardation and could culminate in impotency. At a minimum, it greatly reduces potency. This is in addition to the humiliating punishment in the Aakhirat and the depletion of spiritual stamina in this world. Physical disease as a punishment will be inflicted by Allah Ta'ala for the ingratitude of transgression. The same applies to all other limbs and organs of the body. The adverse consequences of sin are both spiritual and moral. The other factor of disaster is the muck and filth which Muslims nowadays devour. The deluge of carrion chickens, carrion meat, diseased fast 'foods', and the staggering amount of processed foods, all laden with poisons, haraam and mushtabah ingredients camouflaged with chemical designations and E-numbers all appearing like hieroglyphics, are the factors to which diseases such as cancer, heart problems and diabetes, etc. can be directly attributed. This has been conclusively established by numerous non-Muslims experts in their respective fields of research. The carrion certifying Mafia thugs are the greatest curse which has bedevilled Muslim society. They have totally destroyed very vestige of Imaani inhibition and aversion for haraam which once upon a time was the capital of even fussaaq and fujjaar Muslims who would not venture near to haraam meat products. But today, due to the satanic system of halaalizing carrion and poisonous ingredients in processed foods, the Muslim Ummah's physical and spiritual healths have been utterly ruined, and they have been placed firmly on the path leading to Jahannam. While the Qur'aan and Ahaadith repeatedly emphasize the consumption of not only halaal, but Tayyib food, and abstention from Mushtabah, as well as frugality, simplicity and austerity in food, garments and life-style in general, these illegitimate carrion halaalizing outfits propagate the exact opposite. Just look at any shaitaani newsletter of SANHA. Its theme is nothing but encouraging and emphasizing the 'virtues' of gluttony and consumption of carrion, haraam and mushtabah processed muck 'food'. The lust for money has enslaved the carrion-halaalizers to the business enterprises and objectives of the Yahood and Nasaara entrepreneurs. And, the motive is only monetary gain. For the sake of money, they have sold their souls, destroyed their Imaan and ruined an entire nation's spiritual and physical fibre. Muslims should have mercy on their own bodies and souls and understand that they will have to answer to the Divine Interrogation on the Day of Qiyaamah for the massive and gross abuse of the Amaanat of the body and the soul. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "Take a reckoning (of yourself) before a reckoning will be demanded (from you)." Allaamah Abdul Wahhaab Sha'raani (Rahmatullah alayh), of the 9th Islamic century, concluding some Naseehat, said: "O my friend! Examine yourself to see if you are following what I have advised. Do not regard yourself to be among the Saaliheen." When a misfortune/ calamity befalls, the person reacts with disbelief and frustration. He wonders why the misfortune has befallen him. What he does not understand is that every occurrence, good or bad, is the effect of a cause, and that Allah Azza Wa Jal is the Actual Creator of the calamity and that He is in full control. A common calamity nowadays is the incidence of grave physical diseases for which there is almost no known cure. Besides diseases there are also many other forms of misfortunes and hardships which strike people. All of these have causes. Generally, as far as most people are concerned, calamities are the consequences of sin and transgression. Therefore, when a calamity overtakes one, the imperative need is for introspection – soul searching – reflecting to correlate the misfortune with past misdeeds. However, such reflection is furthest from the minds of almost all people who are afflicted by Allah Ta'ala with misfortunes to jolt them into realization or to punish them. The Qur'aan and Ahaadith explicitly state this fact. But, instead of introspection, then repenting, making amends and seeking forgiveness, people become frustrated, impatient and by implication complain against Allah Ta'ala. And, this state of complaint is dangerous for one's Imaan. They fail to understand why the calamity has befallen them, thereby implying that they are 'holy' and 'sinless'. Thus, Allaamah Sha'raani says: "Do not regard yourself to be among the Saaliheen." You should understand that the misfortune is the consequence of your disobedience and transgression of the Laws of Allah Ta'ala. A person squanders hours watching internet pornography and filth of a variety of kinds. He/she indulges in internet zina on a daily and nightly basis. Someone commits much zulm in different forms. Others devour carrion and haraam muck 'food' and poisonous substances marketed as 'food'. People flagrantly violate and even scorn Islam's laws of Hijaab, indulging in free intermingling of the sexes. Others defraud, deceive and steal. Amaanat (Trust) is abused. Funds are embezzled. Children are given free reign to prowl in unsavoury haunts and to strike up haraam relationships. Wives, instead of being at home, drive around and feel at home in the public domain. Besides these vices, a range of other crimes against Allah Ta'ala is perpetrated. Sin has become an integral component of the Muslim's daily life. Now what can be expected other than misfortune and calamity? When this happens, people wonder, become frustrated and despondent. Some who may have some Deeni inclinations ask others to make dua and to give ta'weez. But nothing seems to remove the calamity. Allah's Athaab runs its course. The solution for calamities is introspection and to endeavour to understand the relationship between sin and the misfortune. Then to repent, make amends and reform. Hence, it comes in the Hadith that during sickness one should increase Is- tighfaar (seeking forgiveness). Whilst indulging in internet pornography and perverted filth, whilst allowing the eyes to rove on ghair mahaareem, whilst viewing haraam television, whilst committing zulm, whilst trampling on the rights of others, whilst devouring carrion, haraam and mushtabah, whilst engaging in haraam wedding customs, etc., how is it possible for Duas to be accepted and for Ta'weez to be effective? The rot has to be cleaned first, then only will the spiritual remedies be effective. When misfortune befalls you, engage in muraaqab a h ( r e f l e c t i o n / introspection) and try to relate the calamity to your misdeeds. Sometimes the calamity is a purifier as stated by Rasulullah ( S a l l a l l a h u a l a y h i wasallam): "When Allah intends good for a servant, He hastens with his punishment in this world." Sometimes the calamity is a curse. The accursed fails to understand. He frets, becomes frustrated, panics and his physical health rapidly deteriorates. OUR COMMENT The Brother has omitted from his report: The slaughtering of cows in the name of the king – cows provided by some miscreant Muslims. The total absence of Salaat facilities. No arrangement was made for Zuhr Salaat. In fact, the boot-licking molvis had even abandoned Salaat. The molvis, prior to entering the function of humiliation were informed of the following protocols and etiquettes which they had to observe: "The secretary of His Majesty emphasized on issues of respect for the King. He stressed that many Muslim do not show respect to His Majesty. Some of the point to note: 1. We don't hug the King. 2. We don't touch the King. 3. We don't look in His eyes. 4. Try & lower yourself to the King. If He is standing try to stand lower than Him. If He is seated try & lower your sitting level to His. 5. Address the King not by His name, or King or Zulu King. Address Him by His Majesty. Bayede, iLembe & such names. 6. In the eating section limit movements and eat. Dish out for yourself once His Majesty has eaten. 7. No private or Ambush interviews with His Majesty by the media. Whatever He wishes to say will be said on His podium in front of all people. 8. When His appraisal person hymn the praises as the King enters the main tent, all men & women to stand until the King is seated. Once he sits, woman should sit down, while men to continue standing until the King gives a go-ahead for them to sit." This is the abject humiliation, bootlicking and kow-towing to which the so-called molvi 'daaees' had to submit. They are an utter disgrace to Islam and the Muslim community. They should get lost in the wilderness, offer extreme penances and act like Saamiri who would flee on sight of a human being. (Saamiri was the one who had built the golden calf for Bani Israaeel during the time of Nabi Musaa – alayhis salaam). The Muslim community had been hoodwinked and tricked into the capital LIE that the event was organized to be a DA'WAH function at which Islam will be formally presented to the king. These bootlickers were dangling the chimera of 4.2 million followers of the king, ready to enter the fold of Islam with the conversion of the king. But in reality, the function was all about the king giving 'dawah' to the Muslim bootlicking stooges. Far from being a da'wah function. It was a haraam function of fisq and fujoor which the molvis had to disgracefully lap up. What guidance can Muslims expect from stooges and bootlickers who miserably sell out the Deen and the community in the interests of the vile objectives of money, name and fame? A Buzrug narrated that he had observed Ambiya and Malaaikah around the Ka'bah. They usually frequent the Ka'bah Shareef on the nights of Jumuah, Mondays and Thursdays. He saw Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) with a huge gathering of Auliya. Hadhrat Ibraahim (alayhis salaam) assembles with his progeny at the door of the Ka'bah in line with Maqaam-e-Ibraahim. Hadhrat Nabi Musa (alayhis salaam) and some other Ambiya (alayhimus salaam) assemble between Rukn-e-Yamaani and Rukn-e -Shaami. Hadhrat Nabi Isaa (alayhis salaam) with a group of his followers was seen sitting in the proximity of Hajr Aswad. Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) assembles near to Rukn-e-Yamaani with his Family, Sahaabah and senior Auliya. Hadhrat Ibraahim (alayhis salaam) and Hadhrat Isaa (alayhis salaam) appeared to be the happiest among them all. Besides this, the Buzrug said that there are numerous other wonders which are inexplicable and beyond comprehension. Imaam Muzni (rahmatullah alayh) narrated that during Imaam Shaafi'is last illness, he (Imaam Muzni) asked: "How are you today?" Imaam Shaafi' (rahmatullah alayh) said: "Today I shall be departing from the world. I shall be leaving my friends and drinking from the Cup of Death. I shall be seeing my evil deeds and I shall appear in the Divine Presence. I do not know if I shall be welcomed to Jannat or cast into Jahannam." Then he broke down crying. BIDATI A person becomes a bid'ati even if he practises one act of bid'ah in the same way as a man becomes a kaafir if he commits just one act of kufr. It is not necessary for a number of acts of bid'ah or kufr to be in him. (Maulana Thaanwi)
